If you shop with Spiegel, Newport News or Shapefx, you probably want to really think about your next purchase with them. They are in bankruptcy and if you return any merchandise you will not get your money back or replacement merchandise if you try to exchange it. I returned some merchandise to Newport News at the end of April. I simply wanted to exchange some merchandise for a different size. Their return policy states that you should allow up to 4 weeks for them to receive and process your return. When the 4 weeks was up, all the customer service people could tell me was yes, it was received and it would be processed. I have spoken with them once or twice a week since that time. Last week they finally told me it had been processed but as a return not as an exchange. Today I received an email about being listed as creditor in their bankruptcy. I called them to enquire about this and was told that because of the bankruptcy I would not be receiving my refund.
They are still in business, their websites say nothing about no returns but if you return anything at this point, it will neither be exchanged nor refunded.
