This is the thrifted tweed jacket I previously thought fit perfectly. I really did. Angie said the fit through the shoulders was bad. I have removed the shoulder pads, and basted around the top of the shoulder and sleeve about 5/8 of an inch. I’ll sew this permanently if it passes muster. I have not styled this at all, as if you couldn’t tell.

What do you think of the shoulders now? I think they look good. Of course, I thought they looked good before. So I obviously I’m not a good judge of fit!

BTW: I am home with my quarantined dogs. We boarded them when we went to Texas, and they both caught dog flu. It’s so contagious that when my husband went to pick up some medicine from the vet, they met him in the parking lot. I have cancelled everything on my calendar. All of my friends have dogs, and I don’t want to them to get sick. So, I don’t have anything to do but nurse them back to health. I’m lucky they’re so nice. I’ve had to jam lots of pills down their throats. They could easily have bit me but they didn’t, because they are sweethearts.
