If you read my NAS post, you'll know I really got lucky. Well, I hope I did, I haven't been notified of anything actually shipping yet.

So I thought I'd share my Boden tablecloth... er... Eleanor dress story. More good luck.

I'd been eyeing this dress for a while. I knew it was the kind of thing I'd wear a lot... linen/cotton, easy fit, just loved the idea of it.

So I touched base with my expert, Suz. We have to order from the UK, so the sizing is different, and I was not very confident, based on comments people had made about Boden not being the best for us IT's. She was amazing. She shared a ton of measurements: hers, various garments, sizes.

I had the size I thought I should order sitting in my basket for ages, but just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. Then the shopping gods spoke to me.

I told myself that if it was still available when I got back from a weekend away, it was mine. It was gone. I was quite disappointed. But this gave me time to think about the info Suz had passed on to me, and I realized that the size I had been prepared to buy, probably wouldn't have worked anyway. And lo and behold, one of the few sizes left was the size that "fit" the comparison (BR to Boden) formula, plus measurements, that she had given me. A size I won't admit to, so don't ask. A size I'd never have thought of considering.

It's perfect. I might have been able to do a size down, but hard to say. It fits across the shoulders (always the issue in non-knits) and I love the breeziness for summer. And if it shrinks a bit in the wash, I'm good.

And I have lots of shoes I can wear it with
