I’m so glad I’m able to see everybody again, I will now try to catch up with your photo posts.

I know many members enjoy, as I do, closet organization posts and I thought this would be a good way for me to dip my toes into photo uploading.

Welcome to my closet. I tidied up a bit for the photos, but I’m pretty good at keeping everything organized and this is what it looks like most days. I like this amount of clothes in my closet so there’s some breathing room between hangers. Other clothes stay in my ironing pile.

I’ve been organizing my closet By Ensemble for years and this has worked very well for me. After clothes are washed and ironed (I iron most everything), I make sets in hangers (last two photos), sometimes I add the matching cami and belt. I repeat favorite outifts, others get a different match every time for variety. 95% of the time the matches work, making my morning routine easy. I keep all my toppers – blazers, cardis, vests and jackets in a second closet, together with my casual wear.

The left side of my closet is for work denim and casual pants, the right side is for dressier work slacks. I hang ensembles for warmer temps towards the center, for cooler temps towards the sides (I know, I know) because our weather in Texas varies a lot from day to day. I like to hang a couple of possible ensembles for the following day on the door, and I can stare at them lovingly while I fall asleep knowing that part of my morning is set.

The center rack with drawers (elfa from The Container Store) holds my workout gear, fabric/soft belts, hosiery, shoe insoles & pads and some camis. I wear belts with almost every outfit and have acquired a good collection. The top carboard boxes (from reams of paper) hold off-season shoes and some clothes. 3-tier shoe racks are under the clothes. My boots are still stored in the top boxes. The step stool in photo 1 gets folded and tucked against the right side of the center rack.

Thank you for your interest – all comments welcome and I hope this system is of help or interest to some members.
