What I learned from my shoes:
I LOVE a block heel. It's like wearing your favorite boot heel but in a pair of sandals. All the height and none of the wobbly. Easy to stride around in. I'm not particularly willowy, and feel like the block heel works with my physique.
Pay attention to the color of the neutral. I wasn't really paying attention to the color when I purchased these online, and had mentally filed them away as "brown". Um. SO not brown. I realized after watching them sit unworn in my closet for several weeks that they are 1) taupe-ish (not a color I would have ever thought to choose). And 2) go nicely with some of my favorite colors. Like Navy and white. And maybe some pinks or reds. That this might be the cooler version of brown. What do you think?
Sometimes you need to buy more than one item to get the right "look". These shoes without the shorter pants wouldn't work as well.
And finally, Angie was so right when she said to start spring shopping in the dead of winter. I went back to Nordstroms site where I bought these initially and they are not available anymore from what I can tell. This is the time of year when I would usually start warm weather shopping (and finding things sold out) and this year I am wrapping up the biggest decisions.
