ooo, challenge! just what i need to break out of my own little rut :).
okay, some ideas:
a. pick a celebrity fashion icon (say, zooey deschanel for you maya). pick an outfit that exemplifies everything you love about their style. try and recreate it exactly. then try and incorporate elements of that exact outfit into your own style and look. so you would post three pictures: one, your inspiration outfit. two, your copy of it, with items you already have in your closet. three, your own twist on the look.
the idea: you'll really be able to dissect exactly what draws you to a particular style, and how you can make it work within an existing wardrobe -- and that will hopefully help you shop, and dress, smarter.

b. i love the uniform project idea! perhaps we could pick an item everyone has -- a black dress, maybe, or a basic v-neck sweater, or a white shirt -- and have everyone post three or four outfits built around it?
the idea: we all end up with dozens of different ways to wear the same tired old thing!

c. in a twist on the project runway challenge, here's inspiration we've never tried: music. take your favorite song, or musical genre, and work it into a look -- then tell us how you did it!
the idea: inspiration comes from everywhere -- even when you're not looking.

d. christmas movies! okay, so everyone has a favorite holiday movie, right? so choose your favorite, then pick a look that exemplifies the movie -- either something your favorite character might wear, or a color combination or scene that inspires you.
the idea: the neverending search for new sources of inspiration. plus, come on, doesn't that sound like a fun christmassy project?
