Style Fan, thank you. They look fantastic on you. And yes, we definitely both do well with CoH. I might give them a try on when I'm next in an Aritzia store.

Angie, thank you! Your VB jeans are gorgeous! Love that light faded wash for summer (and cool spring.)

Kyle, Mr. Suz is a bit skeptical, too, but he was really skeptical when skinnies came to the fore. I guess we could say, in YLF terms, his eye takes a while to adjust and he is a slow adopter. I know once he gets used to the look he will love it -- he always does adjust!

I should note, I have taken the comments I've got all in good fun and I'm 100% sure they were meant that way. I detected no malice from anyone. People are sometimes looking for a conversation starter and sometimes it's what you're wearing.

Suz, I hardly ever wear jeans in Summer. Too hot! If it’s a cooler day in Summer I’d probably opt for my cargo pants now. They are lighter. Although full length, they are loose, which helps with heat/humidity.

The jeans season for me is May to September, with some wear in April and October. So about 7 months of the year. But I wear them hard in Winter!

Brooklyn, that makes sense. When I lived in Ontario, I virtually never wore jeans in high summer (the humidity made it seem hotter) -- though I would wear them occasionally -- esp. white ones -- on summer evenings. (Leg coverage helped to prevent mosquito bites.)

In my current, more temperate climate, I still don't wear them much in high summer, and if I wear them at all, it is as crops. But high summer is probably shorter here -- July/ August.

For me, they are on high rotation between September-June.

Think both look fab on you! And love the stripe and the white tops in the other thread, too!

Suz, those jeans are adorable on you!!! I feel like they look really fresh, despite wide legs being a throwback to the '70's, etc. You have styled them so perfectly, too! I desperately need new jeans...just need to find time to shop for them. I feel like trying to order them on line would be exhausting and super time consuming.

You wear these jeans really well. They look great on you.l am sticking to wide leg crops for now on the whole,l don’t like cleaning the floor with my hems! But l do really like the look of the long length ones.lf l lived in a drier climate with an in house cleaner l might go for these!

When I first read your post I thought--"Nah, been there, no wide-leg jeans for me."

Then I did a little shopping on Nordstrom Rack, looking for new white jeans. I found a pair of ivory Joe's jeans on sale, wide leg but they didn't look too wide. Joe's work well for me so I decided to get them. If I hadn't read your post I wouldn't have gone for them.

We'll see how they turn out for me.

Both pairs are fantastic! How fun to have a new silhouette to play around with and add some spice to your already-fab wardrobe! Comments from strangers (and partners) about our clothes are funny, aren't they? I was wearing a pair of nylon track pants (trendy, fun, comfy) and the first thing my SO said was "hey, coach." So, there you go :)! He just has an entirely different set of references for fashion and trends than I do...
