Tanya, I know what you mean about caffiene! I can drink it but only in the morning. Anything after 12 noon and I get really bizarre (more bizarre than I already am, LOL) and also can't sleep. I hope you sleep tonight!!!
Maya, I'm happy that my kids actually think to help out - even if it's for selfish reasons (wanting to do their own laundry). Also, the reality is, in an absolute pinch I will throw my jeans in the dryer if I need to speed up the process because I have nothing to wear!
And these ARE the cigarette jeans!! Yes, they are incredibly skinny. I just measured, yes, 10 inches in the ankles. I like them best tucked into boots to balance them out. I tried them with my SW chunky booties and it looked okay but I felt self-concious, for day time at least - I might be braver wearing them at night. I think they will look very cute with flats though.
I just measured the mid-rise and they are the exact same as the high-rise (except for the rise), so theoretically, they should fit me. Hmmm. Maybe I didn't wrestle with them enough? Or the high-rise simply has more stretch. I offered them to my DD and she turned up her nose - saying that there's no way they'd fit her on the length. I tried to explain they were skinnies and I hadn't hemmed them, but I guess they have the "mom" taint on them now.
Meanwhile, today she is wearing a pair of jeans that fit her a few months ago but now are sooo incredibly baggy on her, in sort of a hip-hop way. (They took her off the med that made her gain weight last year and the weight dropped right off). I have to say even if the pants are probably 3 sizes to big now, they look very cute on her. She could wear a bag and look cute in anything!
San - when I first get the jeans I'm brutal - I don't put them on the hottest cycle but I do put them in warm water and run them through until they are thoroughly dry. I do it twice, to get all the shrinkage out of them. The COH didn't shrink much at all though, if I recall correctly. At least not width-wise. They were all so long, I probably wouldn't have noticed if they shrunk in the length!
