So recently I was looking for shorts as the ones I have from last year are too small.
I went to a local outdoor mall (UVillage in Seattle). I went to there website first to see if there were any new stores, and check the websites of the stores I knew were there. I went to Madewell, and got some basic denim cut-offs, nothing anything exciting. Service was subpar.
I also visited the Gap, JCrew and some other stores....eh.
I visited Athleta, looking for a specific pair of shorts I saw online. The store was pretty much empty. The saleswoman just pointed me to the back and said it was somewhere back there. It took me a while and I found them. But no one approached me for help. So I left very frustrated. All the salespeople seemed to be either refolding and stocking areas, or talking.
Scotch & Soda, judging by the front I always thought was a men's store. But my pre-research showed the had women's clothes, and judging by the size chart it might fit me.
I found some great stuff, definitely wackadoodle in some respects. But it made me feel good. Plus the salesman was nice and helpful. It's not cheap, but not designer expensive and seems well made
