Here is a Tadashi Shoji dress that was in transit during my post on dress delivery.
Black lace over nude.

Now, there is a fit problem. The bodice has darts that create roomage intended for bustage, and I am unable to, er, fulfill the expectations. "My" seamstress may be able to take in the dart and still get the right fit, but I would have to see. I think it is otherwise the right size and just after I ordered it I see no more small sizes available. It's also "straighter" though the self-belt is too loose, so I would aim for more fit. The material and pattern is really pretty; is the style too "girly", do you think?
I am not sure of my eye anymore for the matronly-girly balance.

Next to it, just to compare silhouettes, I've re-posted the Adrianna Papell dress in size 4, which is too big as-is, but I've ordered the 2 to see if it would fit better, .

Neither of these is actually intended for MOTB (hoping for more spring-like color) , but are under consideration for my imaginary party lifestyle, which includes wedding guest opportunities. #1 is definitely a party frock. #2 is problematic due to being sleeveless, so if the new size fits and I added it to wardrobe it will be an orphan unless I develop jackets to go with it. Still it's kind of interesting because the fabric, which is actually a kind of subtle print with black and bronze, has some ability to dress up or down (e.g., classic tailored blazer vs. blingy bolero/cardi stuff), whereas #1 is all dressy.

Any comments are welcome!
