New Swedish Hasbeens sandals: retro clog look for spring/summer

The same day I got my YLF dress I received my new Swedish Hasbeens sandals, which I mentioned in the Euro gals thread.

These sandals are way, way, WAY more comfy than I thought they would be. You know, wood sole/heel and thickish leather straps. But the Swedes know their way around a shoe!

The shoes are 2.8" high, but have an almost 1" platform, so are easy and superstable to walk around in. The leather is a bit stiff, but will soften with time. Right now, the leather doesn't hit me in any strange ouchy spots, so it should only get better. Perfect since I plan on wearing them to a 70s/disco theme auction dance party next week. Of course, I look forward to wearing them with various spring and summer outfits too I also like that they are made with sustainable, eco-friendly practices.

I love the silver.
I had the Dansko version of those last year. They were built differently in the straps and unfortuately cut into the top of my foot so I had to return them. I think they are so cute and I miss them. I did replace them with a slip on in patent red to make myself feel better, and they don't cut my feet.
Maybe you should take some mole skin with you to the party just in case they start to rub while you're dancing up a storm. You can get it at the pharmacy.
Yours are different so I don't think they will cut you.

I love those! That's pretty much exactly what I'd like for spring, but there's no way I can shell out $240 (plus duties) for shoes. I wish Payless would do a version!

dusty -- I got mine through Yoox (they sell previous season fashions at a discount). There are a few online stores in the US like Endless that carry Swedish Hasbeens, and there's a bunch on eBay too. Hope you can find something that works for you!

Angie -- well, I've only worn them around the house so far, so I don't know how long my feet will last in the long run. I think I kind of "clomp" around in them instead of bending my foot. Will report back on longterm comfort

Interesting, I like the silver. but... ouch! I would at least get rubber-cork look alike to save my back from trauma. But these are great for a party without a ton of dancing... (good luck at a disco party)

I just saw HasBeens in Harper's Bazaar, March issue. They were showing a clog style and comparing them to Chanel's runway version.
