New Skirt: Keep or Return - YouLookFab Forum

HI Ladies:)

I did have 3 new garments to show you but in the course of taking photos it was very apparent two of them needed to be returned

But I would appreciate your thoughts on the skirt.

I have styled it three ways, please note I haven't added jewelry or accessories other then the belt in #2.

I think I need to size up as while the skirt fits its a little snug with the leggings. And the side pockets 'stick' out a little. The next size up adds about 1cm so I think it should give me the extra room without really making a difference to the shape. I am also thinking it might give me a tiny bit more length.

#1 & #3 are styled more for work, and #2 is supposed to be more casual.

Appreciate your thoughts, should I keep?

Any styling ideas would be welcomed too.

Love the skirt! I like it in 3 best. You could also try putting a red belt over it in #1.

Seriously, though, this looks like a wonderful skirt. I really like the idea of those pockets. Somehow they make it easier to dress down, no? With the leggings it reminds me of that look Angie did in the summer. I like it all three ways you have styled it. It doesn't look tight in the photos but you are the best judge of that!

I can't tell if this is too small from the photos. The styling in 3 is awesome. That pop of red is great, and could be easily duplicated with turquoise, cobalt, or some other vibrant color. Boots or even booties would work beautifully, too, if you want to "winterize" the look. A strong bold pendant, or a scarf, could also change up the look and keep it fresh. I like your style.

LOL - I'm glad I'm not the only one who takes photos and then realizes that things have to go back. It would be SO convenient if I could just figure that out by looking in the mirror (at the store!)! Anyway, you've made a great choice with the skirt. I LOVE it - and it looks like you've got tons of ideas for styling it already. I can't really tell about the size from the pics. Great find!

This is a beautiful, chic skirt! I know what you mean about the pockets sticking out--couldn't hurt to size up and see how that one looks. I love how you've styled it.

Absolutely LOVE that skirt. So keep. It doesn't look too small on the picture. Love the bit of color in 3 but all looks are nice. I think it's a great skirt to combine with all kinds of colors like you did in 3. I love the black, white + 1 color look.

Can you have the pockets sewn shut?

Angie I could have the pockets sewn down but I think I will try the size up first. The difference in the sizes was very slight when I held them up against each other. If bigger size is too roomy I will definitey keep the this one and deal with the pockets... Thanks, I hadn't thought of that:)

This is a beautiful skirt, I love it! Clever you. All three photos are stunning. Where did you find this little beauty?

The only thing I can think extra to try is a white/cream shirt, with a black necklace to tie it in with the skirt. I'm not sure whether this would work, or whether it would create to stark a contrast, still may it could be worth a try?
