New shorts and scarf - YouLookFab Forum

I found some shorts today! I was searching for some shorts for three months and I was so happy to find these today. I like that they look like casual denim shorts but have at the same time a solid color without bleaching or distressing. And they were on sale and really inexpensive! The waist fits, although they are a bit too loose in the front (you can maybe see the creasing). It doesn't bother me much and I have to say that you can see it more in the pics. The fold-up hem is only stitched with one thread at the sides and can be let out without any problems. Should I do it? They would be give or take two inches longer.

The blouse is a really nice color and fabric. It had a really wide elastic band right across my hips, so I never wore it. Last week I simply cut the band off. It's a bit boxy now and I'm not really used to surrendering my waist. What do you think about it? How could I try to wear it? I like the shorts from behind.

The scarf is also new and I simply had to have it when I saw the pattern and colors, even though I already have so many scarves at home. The scarf was also on sale.

You look so cute! The shorts are nice (especially the back view And I think that although the blouse is on the looser side it works because it drapes. The colour fits you so well. I love a bit of boho-chic, so the scarf works as far as I'm concerned. And the little shoes... Nice touch! (Oh - and I like the way that the outfit makes you smile - that means it's definitely working on the right level; making you happy.)

Thanks, suzanne! I love the colors and boho-chic as well. Although I haven't dressed as much boho of late. I have to change that again! And you're right, this outfit is making me happy - it was some time ago I felt so confident in shorts this short. And we are getting a heat wave over the next weekend, so I will have plenty of time to wear these happiness inducing shorts.

Lynne, thank you! When I was shopping I wore the ballet flats. I had the shorts already with me and when I saw the scarf I directly thought how well it would fit with the shorts and flats. I only thought about the top when I was home again. Wow, it's nice to hear someone missed my wiws, thanks!
