New shoes~ opinions please - YouLookFab Forum

I had the worst work day on record yesterday so the sight of the delivery man this morning was enough to raise my spirits, there is nothing like new shoes to cheer a girl up!

# 3/4 Red sling backs I think I'm going to have to return these as the strap is hitting right under a bony bit of my foot and I fear it's going to rub
# 4/5 Navy oxfords http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/n.....s-20343506 these are buttery soft suede with active air insole ahhhhh bliss

Assuming they don't get a major no I'm leaning towards keeping the boots and navy shoes and returning the red slingbacks (that's going to be sooo difficult because they are gorgeous but I'm on an uncomfy shoes ban I've just turfed out 12 pairs of gorgeous uncomfy orphans!!!) x

Love the boots, love the slingbacks but agree you should return if they already seem prone to rubbing, and I would love the oxfords with jeans.

How do you see yourself wearing the oxfords? I have had trouble working mine into my wardrobe. If you already have clear ideas of what you'll be doing with them -- keep.

Those boots are killing me!!! I would wear those in a nanosecond. Love! Keep! And the oxfords are very you. Blue suede shoes, right? Gotta love them.

I say immediately send back any shoes that bug you before you even take them out on the streets for a test drive.

But, those boots! Sigh. Hope you are feeling better after your lousy day at work.

Like Laura, I am almost dead here- these GORGEOUS boots!!!! Please keep them and wear them for me!
Oxfords seem very nice too if you can incorporate them into your outfits (I don't have any yest so I don't know how versatile they are :-()
And of course I am with you on returning any shoes which are not comfortable - life is too short for that!

I actually voted against the boots and still am a little confused how one would wear them, although I think they would look super with jeans. That is all just a matter of taste though. The red shoes are gorgeous, but if they are rubbing out of the box, there is no way that is good. The oxfords look great.

Hehehe I never thought of blue suede shoes, uh hu hu! that was supposed to be an Elvis impression!
I plan on wearing both boots and shoes with pretty much anything just have to check the back of the boots won't rub on the floor when I drive i'd hate to mark them.

They all look like winners to me but I've bought enough problematic shoes to know that most of the time the "problems" don't go away with "breaking in." The boots are killer and the blue oxfords scream "Louise!"
