I have really been struggling with shoes lately, as I am naturally a person who enjoys outrageous shoes. Anything weird or odd and I'm all over it. My friends laugh that I like "ugly shoes". But since I have been working at school more and more often (possibly getting a full time position next year), and because I work with little kids, my shoes have to be practical as well. I need to be able to sit on the floor, run and not mind if my toes get stepped on. I also need to be able to be on my feet all day. And I'll be honest: I don't want people to talk (in a bad way). So that means no stilettos, no platforms, nothing too high, nothing with too much hardware, etc.

This puts me in a bind because many of the shoes I love simply are not practical. But I recently ran into these, and they ticked a few boxes for me. They apply the oxford trend (if that isn't "out" yet), they are practical and SO comfortable, and they aren't completely boring. I can walk and be on my feet all day and they only get more comfortable (wide-ish, high volume feet. Plus the white isn't quite optic white, so they aren't quite as stark as some black and white shoes.

Anyway, if anyone is into the black and white trend or oxfords, etc. these are a great choice.
