New pants. Opinions needed.

A continuation of trying to polish my casual wear. New pants!
I currently have 1 pair, navy blue skinny crop cords. So two at once is craaaazyyy

1. Black Hudson skinnies. While basically jeggings, these are the thickest and most comfy I've found and I feel neither squashed nor overly exposed in these. Also, black is hard to photograph!

2. - daughters of the liberation trouser jeans.
This is a new pants silhouette for me. The high waist feels very comfy and I think these are good 'nice casual' option. But I fear I look 'stubby'

What are your thoughts?

First off, wow, what a figure! Secondly, I am no expert as I just started this forum tonight. I really like the first pair the best! They are very figure flattering. The second pair are not very form fitting, neither do they flatter that knock out figure you have. This is just my opinion though, and again I reiterate, I am no expert.

Love the Hudsons! I am a Hudson fan in general.

Do you plan to wear the wide-legs with heels? I have a strong preference for heels with bootcuts and widelegs and can't seem to ever make them right in my mind with flats.

PS, I loooove that top!

@ Bree - Thank you for the kind compliment. I like the trouser jeans for their more conservative fit but it is hard to balance that against flattering my body. Deciding if these hit that sweet spot or aren't flattering enough

@ Rae- I had one pair of jeans, Hudsons, for over a year. With 3x a week wearing. They still looked great when I had to let them go due to a changing body. I plan to have the jeans hemmed to wear with flats. I do wonder if that won't be a great silhouette. The top was an Anthro sale room total score. I got lucky.

@ dstalksalot - I will have them hemmed up at least a good 3 inches if I decide to keep them.

Your top is amazing. I like both bottoms, the black are very figure flattering. The wide legs fit nicely as well. Yes hemming them for flats, you wont look as tall and thin as you would with heels. But I like the wide leg profile and heels hurt my feet. So..... hemming for flats was my choice and it works for me.

You look amazing in the black skinnies. I'd like to see the trouser jeans with heels and a different top. However after just seeing your comment about hemming them 3 inches I assume you are planning to wear them with flats so would still like to see them with a different top maybe something that comes covers the waistband.

Hi Spiffy! You look amazing in the Hudsons. As for the second pair, I am totally biased so I will reveal my bias and give you my opinion FWIW. I have a body that is similar to yours in some respects and I have come to the conclusion that I do NOT feel my best in wider leg trousers. (Once I felt good in them when I was at my bottom weight ever and wore them with 3.5 inch massively pointy heels.) So, my biased opinion is that you can do better. I do think the same cut might look better in a finer weight fabric.

I really like the skinnies on you, unless you plan on wearing heels with the wide-legs. I'm with Rae on that one. You *do* have an amazing figure. And I think you deserve a second pair of pants!

Like everybody, I love the first ones!

The second ones are cute too. I would wear them with a little heel, but that is me. Wearing them with flat will make them very casual, if that is what you are looking for.

I like the first ones for sure. Angie advised me on my trouser jeans to size up and she was absolutely right - trouser jeans should fit like trousers not jeans. These are not too tight on you, but they are pulling a little across the front and more formfitting at the back than I'd do with regular trousers. I'd be curious to see the next size (which might be too big) It depends on your comfort level of course. As Rae suggested some heels with these will elongate the look and a nice belt would add polish to them.
