I don't know about the shoes but Essie has two super oranges in the latest collection that I am salivating over:

MG: My friend and I have a running joke that orange is the new neutral. I think purchasing a pair of orange shoes will help you move away from all black (that was a style goal of yours, right?).

Clarification: Our "joke" about orange means that we wear it all the time and fearlessly! I have light red/strawberry blondish hair--not my best color, but I love it very much. I do hope you find a pair to test drive!

@Heather, I know about your joke since you wear orange almost every day!
Usually you wear it in a retro style though. These seem to be more mainstream. I think I am flagged on shoes for now. I need to replace my patent platform pumps to go with my polka dot dress but after that I am through with shoes for quite a while.
