Hey, I just tried that on today at Macys! I think it is a great Chanel-esque jacket with a twist because of the earthy tweedy linen and the raw/fringed edges. It didn't seem to be the SS-beige, but has darker threads and more texture going on.
It was shown with other 'safari' type colors like olive, khaki, browns. I'm not sure if it could be paired with many brights to decrease any SS-iness, but that's probably because I lack creativity. . .
Anyway, it IS a great jacket and well worth checking out
