New loafers, keepers? Also trying almost no makeup

These are the new white Dieppa Restrepo loafers I ordered last week. I think I love them! They are obviously Spring/Summer shoes, so I styled them here with a dress. I think I may have shrunk this dress a little....it seems a bit shorter than last year...or I'm just becoming more conservative...how's the length seem?

Also, in my attempts to wear less makeup and cut down on chemical products in general I wore just under eye concealer and mascara today. And of course moisturizer with SPF. I think the concealer takes care of 90% of my problems. Also, is it weird and totally contradictory that the more I dress and style myself to look and feel good, the less I care what anyone else thinks? I'm like, yah deal with my makeup free face! haha!

Keep! And you don't need (more) make up - you're a vision!
I love that dress on you. You are young and have great legs so you can totally do this. Ideally however I think a couple of inches would be better for your restrained style, for future purchases. Even taking the belt off might have the same effect. I wear shorter dresses with capri leggings in the summer but I'm not sure that would be you...

Yes, keep! And you don't need a lot of makeup, you have a lovely face.

I think a slightly longer hem would look better too with bare leg, but it isn't scandalous or anything

Wow, way to rock loafers! I think this outfit looks fantastic! Love the belt choice. It looks like you have a great natural complexion. I am also going make-up less for the moment, but only due to time. I have some unfortunate melasma.

Adore the loafers! Are they as comfy as they look?

I like the dress but must admit I find it a bit on the short side. Any hem allowance you can let down?

Keep the shoes. And I wish my skin looked as nice as yours. You look great with minimal make-up!

If you can't let down the bottom seem, could you throw a pair of leggings or tights underneath?

Scarlet, I actually have a lot of freckles, they are just fairly light, I guess you can't see as much since it's not close up. You can see a bit more on my arms in the photo. But I am tired of trying to make them appear less visible, and there's no point covering them, that would be weird. I know it's not the same as melasma, but it's similar and pretty much creates the same effect of overall blotchy face. But I've been diligently cleaning, moisturizing and exfoliating and I fell like I look as good as I can. Even DH has complained that I look younger and my face just looks different, and he just feels like he looks older, lol!

Yah it may be a tad short...darn it! I had a dress in mind I wanted to buy this Spring and it sold out, so this is my current one. Well I may have to start hunting for a new one. I'm pretty sure there is no room to let it down, but I should check. I will definitely try it with tights in the early spring though!

I think freckles are charming I also think petite ladies can get away with shorter hemlines as long as it is functional with picking up the kiddos and all.

Looks great on you but yes, it is just a bit short to move around in I guess. The loafers look fantastic! You could try wearing some short tights under it just for modesty - ones that don't show unless you are bending or moving around a lot I mean. Something like these yoga shorts maybe?

Keep, especially after seeing Angie in her white shoes. Could you wear this dress over white or bleached denim skinnies?

Raisin I *really* love the colour and weight of this dress fabric on you - I remember when you posted it a while back - I think it suits your colouring & style so well. And I meant it when I said you can totally wear it as is. Yoga shorts are a good suggestion for kid-chasing days, if that's a concern. How about wearing it as a tunic? And finally.... if you do decide to purge it as is... please make a scarf out of it!

I love the shoes and think they are great with the dress. I don't think the dress is too short, you have great legs. It is nice to have a variety of lengths to choose from.

Thanks all. I love the loafers too. So far I have sprayed them with protective leather spray, but I'm worried about scuffs! They have a nice texture though that will hide smaller scuffs.

Thanks to all! I am loving going makeup free. More time, more money and no worries about it rubbing off on someone's shirt or my kids. I am occasionally still wearing tinted moisturizer and blush, but I'm feeling good about actually going out with none on. Took DS to the dentist today like this, and got groceries last night the same way.

As for the dress I think it shrunk a bit when it dried. It's silk so I hand wash, but it's chiffon like and maybe if I iron it out on very low heat it will stretch back out.
