Great breed of cat! I had a friend who had two of these and I used to pet sit for her because they were just so fun to hang out with. Be careful of house plants when you get the kitty home though - she nearly lost one of hers when he ate a poisonous house plant. For some reason this breed is extra curious about eating things I guess.

We have 3 cats, brothers who are 12 and showing their age now and a 2 year old feral cat who arrived when he was 4 months and never left. I was never a pet person at all, much less a cat lady but I have to say I am very attached to this new one of ours in particular.
I love what you said about Maine Coons being the dog of the cat world! I call Bowie "Cat-Dog" (anyone out there remember that cartoon?) because he is so puppy like!

We lost our 8 year old Maine Coon over the summer and now we have 2 Maine Coon kittens! They are wonderful! We have a 12 year old cat who has adopted these youngsters and now we are one big happy family! My husband and I -- and three of the best four-legged lovers anyone could ask for. So, so happy for you.
