Last week I brought home some new black straight-leg jeans to try out, and I
showed them here.
I think I've narrowed down the choices, and I would like your opinions. I'll also include the also-rans in photos here, in case it might help those of you who are looking for similar styles.
My Top Choices:
1. The Treasure & Bond high-rise Stovepipe straight leg jeans are still in the running (photos 1-3). Thanks to Joy's question about trying the next size down, I did go back and get those, and sure enough, a size down from my usual jeans size is the winner in this style. I like the kicked-back style of these jeans. They are super comfy, with a quite a bit of stretch.
2. Levi's Wedgie straight leg jeans (photos 4-6). I ordered them in my usual jeans size, and a size UP, because I took the size up in the Wedgie Icon jeans I have in cream. In these black ones, I prefer my usual size. I like the retro Levi's styling--the big back pockets, the black leather Levi's waist label, the copper grommets, the red Levi's pocket tag. They fit like a dream. There is a little bit of stretch, and they are comfortable.
Here are the Also-Rans, just for your info:
1. I tried Madewell the Perfect Vintage ripped-knee jeans, in my usual size (photos 7-9). I really like the vibe of these jeans and I love the wash. I'm not crazy about the knee-hole and would probably patch it if I kept these. I think I'm a little bit between sizes in these. I did not bring home the size down; they felt too tight. Overall I just don't like them as well as the top two contenders.
2. Treasure & Bond, in my usual size (photos 10-12).
3. Levi's Wedgie Straight, in my usual size +1 (photos 13-15).
My questions for you all:
1. Should I keep both Top Choice pairs (photos 1-6)?
2. If I only keep one, which is your preference?
Thanks for your thoughts!
