New Helmut Lang Sweater in work outfit

I had this sweater pinned. I hadn't found the right mesh sweater yet. It isn't exactly Spring coloured but I loved the fabric, the knit, the fit & style & it was on sale for nearly half price!

I'm wearing it in a work outfit but loved it in the pin with skinnies so I will wear it that way too. Maybe if I wear a white cami & jeans it will work better for Spring/Summer.

What do you think of my work outfit? It seems like it needs something.

Speaking of work outfits. What do you think of this caftan type of garment for seeing clients? I work as a healer. It looks stylish on the model but will it look like I couldn't be bothered getting out of my house coat?

I love the outfit and the mesh sweater. It works well in the outfit but yes maybe white jeans would make it feel more spring like.

I'm not sure about the dress in the second pic. It looks sort of overwhelming, I guess I'd have to see it on you.

I love the sweater beyond belief!

Not sure on the caftan. It reminds me a lot of the housecoats we wear in India which is like wearing pajamas in presentable form.

Are those vivobarefoot shoes? If so, how do you like them?

I don't know what your work is, but I like that caftan look... perhaps a different one without such a high slit though.

The sweater is gorgeous, Elle! Love it as you've styled it but it would also look great with white jeans or faded denim.

Not sure about the caftan. You have the slender height to make it look good, yet I don't know how I would feel on meeting you if I were a client. I suppose your clients go with a particular idea in mind already, however, and might not be surprised? How do you want to come across to them? Gentle, strong, intuitive, creative, etc. It's quite a challenging job to dress for, I expect!

Love the outfit! I wouldn't have thought to combine those pieces - I'm definitely unsure about high-low tops on my own body, or for that matter that particular cut of pants, but you are selling me on trying out both! =) It all looks chic and comfortable.

I'm undecided on the caftan. I feel like it could go either way and I don't have enough info to give an opinion?

I mean I really like it and and wonder which sweater style it is. I probably couldn't carry it off but I like that it's Helmut Lang-y but not extreme.

I would say no to the caftan. For clients, best not to tread the line of housecoats.

BJ where did you see the white one? If only I knew there was a white one. Was it on sale? I might have to find something cheaper for a white sweater. There are a lot out there in white, just none that I liked IRL yet. Maybe I will try Zara. They seem to have a lot on their website right now.

Is that mesh top navy? If so, taupe would be nice with it.
I'm not sure about the caftan for work. I honestly think you would look stylish in your housecoat so that's not the issue. It's rather about whether you would feel right in it at work.

Re: the caftan -- it depends completely on the type of clients you have. I deal with various people at work. Some of them are hikers from SF. Some are local retirees or retired r.v.'ers. The SF folk would have a much higher tolerance for a caftan while the retirees or the RV crowd might think "crazy lady" if they saw someone in one.

Love the HL sweater! Lucky you for finding it at half price. Shopbop takes forever to mark down their Helmut Lang.
