So I had my hair appointment today. I definitely cut it shorter, but at the last minute I decided to go *lighter* vs. darker. Light hair is the only thing I haven't done (with the exception of pink and purple stripes!) yet, so I thought "why not?" If I don't like it, I can color it again in six weeks.
The cut is a bit longer than I anticipated and the color is not as light as I had hoped. However, my stylist wanted to give me the opportunity to see it shorter before I fully commited. I think that's wise - I actually like this length! And in order for my hair to go as light as I wanted, I would have undergone some serious damage and that's not an option. So gradual it is.
What do you think?

I lost a lot of hair today, and I thought I'd be sad, but I was actually relieved when she cut the first batch off. I will probably style it with a bit more volume, but I'm very happy with the change.
