Staysfit, Sveta, Aubergine: Thank you!

Suz: I'm so glad I took the big plunge. It made me wonder why I haven't been changing things up more often (like I used to). Did I somehow get stuck? And what made me get stuck? Interesting to think about...

Excellent choice! You look incredible!

Gorgeous! I was too stymied to respond to your other thread but I will now retroactively vote for exactly this :-)!

Shut the front door! Very gutsy and wow, did it pay off!

two thumbs way up! It looks to have so much movement.

You look wonderful. And IMO you couldn't possibly picked a better role model than Renee Russo!

Gorgeous! Love the shape and color. This will be so fun for Spring!

Wow, Renee really did the trick! This haircut really brings out your natural beauty, and it looks so chic on you. Great choice. Aren't you glad you took the plunge? (Oh, yeah, right--you just said so!)

Wow! You did it! Such a great cut on you. You are going to have so much fun with your new hair!

You look wonderful. What a great cut!

Sorry I didn't pitch in on the original thread - I wasn't sure what advice to offer, and was very tempted to say don't do it! But this looks fantastic.

I remember when I had my longer hair chopped off into my current pixie. I sat in front of my hairdresser of 10 years plus and said "Let's go short!" He looked at me like he'd been wanting to do it for ages.

Well done for being so decisive! Looking forward to seeing how it plays with your cooler than cool neutrals and statement specs.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gorgeous!

Your hair looks gorgeous, AM - such a lovely cut.

Well done. I am surprised you acted so quickly. Great change-up for going into the new season.

Gigi, Jeanie, Diane G, Summer: A great big thank you!

shevia: Well I'm glad you would have chosen this look! It was probably just on the tip of your tongue. Thank you.

dashielle: You are so funny. "Shut the door" -- I just laughed out loud when I read this. And I was well aware that I was making a brave move. And with the first cut...I felt myself GULP. A big thanks!

ladywone: It definitely has movement. I think that is my favorite part. Thank you.

Adelfa: Another member of the Russo fan club.

Beth Ann: I love the heavy dark blonde highlights. Feels much more striking. Thanks!

Firecracker: Renee in Thomas Crown totally speaks to me. My husband was totally not surprised when I chose this direction. He knows my love for her style in that movie. And yes, so glad I took the plunge! Thank you.

approprio: I guess you were not alone for not chiming in on the original thread. These decisions can be difficult but I am now asking myself -- why did you wait so long... And I'm also looking forward to seeing how this plays with my clothes. And BTW, your hair is fab.

Style Fan: You chimed back in on the original thread about mid-length hair being more maintenance...and I totally agree. Thank you. All the comments really helped this gel for me. Again, thank you.

Runcarla: I had the appointment...and my stylist gets booked six weeks out. And so when I "last minute" decided I should act on this reoccurring feeling of wanting change...well, I just decided to pull the trigger. Thank you! Again, your comment about the difference about selecting layers or no layers was really illuminating.

The new 'do looks amazing, AM! I can imagine you had to take a deep breath when your stylist started cutting:-)

Looks fabulous! Bravo for taking the plunge!

Fantastic! Great decision on your part - it looks amazing.

Beautiful and how brave and fun that you took the plunge and went right to what you wanted!!

Inge: Deep breath (and probably the look of fear) was definitely in order of the first cut. And thanks.

Meredith, texstyle, AviaMariah: Thank you!

Love the color and fullness, and you nailed it.

Vicki: Thanks!

Love it AM! I like that it has a lot of the weight removed so that it looks light and has lots of movement.

you have the best hair - long or shorter....wow. this is stunning and absolutely brings out your beautiful face. excellent choice and kudos to your stylist!

My hair is happy for your hair! It's a lovely cut and style for you. And I love the depth your colorist added.

Nice touches, you and Rene look very similar, so good call to take her along with you to your stylist.

MWAH!

WOW, just WOW! You look absolutely amazing! And to think that when you were mulling it over, I was going to say, don't touch it, your hair is so gorgeous as is. This is so beautiful and striking on you.

Donna: Thanks. And yes, taking the weight off, getting lightness...these are the things that I'm really enjoying.

Laurie: Thanks. And yes kudos to my stylist!

Keturah: Depth added by colorist was essential. And he knew it. He said you just need more oomf for shorter hair. I am trusting him even more now. I had to look up what "MWAH" meant. I'm so out of touch.

oldchic: Oh, I had moments of thinking how much I liked my hair. But just decided to go for it and live with regret IF that's what happened. But I'm very happy I did it. Thank you!
