The only thing to say is wahooooooo!!

How exciting! Your hair and your style are fab! And you do look just like your sketch!

Now let's get some close-ups of these fabulous shoes...

You are adorable! Thanks for finally posting. I love that argyle.

It's great to finally see you! I logged in just for this post. You look fantastic, fab outfit - the argyle vest works perfectly.

You look great in the outfit! Super find on the sweater. You can save lots shopping in the boys section. I find some button downs there.

Wow, great to finally see you! I love your hair! Cute sweater vest too! I wish I could fit into boys' sizes so I could match my sons, wouldn't that be fun!

Funny, I was just reading an old thread about body twins, read yours and thought you sounded like such a cutee- and you ARE
FAB to see you at last!

Gorgeous! Love the outfit.

Woohoo! FAB to see you and FAB to see how FAB you look! xxx

In just had to log in to just to see you and I wasn't disappointed! You look fabulous! Such a delight to see your great style and it shows how good an artist you are because you do look like your drawings. I love the argyle vest and shirt just peeking out and lovely booties. Fab! xo

I know you don't want to be adorable, but I can't help it...I think you are! Great hair, beautiful face, great outfit! I love the vest layered over button-down look, and it looks great over your slim trousers. Thank you for posting!

Thanks so much! You are all so kind. All joking aside, I'm touched by the positive comments, and glad you like the hair. I'm still undecided on it. I find that it takes a couple of weeks for a new cut to "settle in", and during that time I swing between liking it or hating it. Does anyone else feel that way? I wonder if this is something that happens more to curly gals than to straight ones. My hair is somewhere between curly and wavy, and I find it looks a bit different every day.

Looks like there's a lot of love for argyle out there!

Angie, thanks for the hugs. I'm glad you and Greg changed the privacy policy. It was a tipping point. With that added measure, plus my name change, I think the searchability factor is sufficiently low.

Alaskagirl, I'm sure I posted a pic of my face once before, a few years ago! It wasn't a WIW, but still. (Thanks for the compliment though -- gorgeous is not an adjective I normally get)

Shevia, I meant this outfit isn't traditionally figure flattering in that it does not enhance femininity (because it erases my waist and bust). But I agree with you that it's not unflattering. It's just different. Different priorities. I feel good in this boyish look.

Anne, yes, putting a hand just above the hip does suggest a hint of waist. Too bad I can't pose like that all day long, hahaha.

Parsely, I think this is why I gravitate toward tomboy style. It's hard to look masculine when you are tiny. Plus my figure is more suited to straight than to curvy. I don't always dress tomboy, though. I actually wear skirts quite a bit.

Janet, I'm a sucker for anything argyle too.

Annagybe -- Goth? Really? Interesting. I wonder what I've said that would make you think that. I do wear dark lipstick, and a lot of black and grey, but I've never been goth. (I did have Tim Minchin hair a year or two ago, maybe that's why. See pic below). Sadly I don't have the face for goth. Any outlining of my eyes with kohl makes them look like two black holes, and my skin won't do the ghostly pallor -- it's always a little shiny and the pale makeup just slides off halfway through the day. But this outfit is more preppy than my usual, I have to say. It's hard to make an argyle vest not look preppy!

Beth Ann, thank you for that comment. Playful but understated is exactly what I'm going for.

Ariadne and Amiable -- glad you like the hair that much! My hairdresser cut a lot of bulk out of it to make the wispy bits.

Makrame -- I look familiar because I have Everyman Face. (Everywoman?) I get that comment all the time.

Gingko, maybe I'll start a shoe thread later.

Also thanks to Parsley, DianeG, Gingko, cceile and Suz for the nice comments about my drawings. I have very little time these days, which is why I'm not doing them at the moment, but they show my outfits so much better than the crappy mirror selfies do. So when I have time, I'll do more.

You are so fab! Great to see you.

Wow! So good to see you-- and I must say you are looking good! I love the outfit, but then again it is very much my asethetic. You wear it better than I would, since I have more curves and dressing in that style can make me look big all over.

Love it - both the hair and the outfit. I actually think the diamond shapes show your waist but it is obvious that you have a very slim build. You really are adorable.

YLF. I like your hair and the outfit.
Vickie

You are a true gamine! Great haircut, and thanks for allowing us to meet you.

Hej! Awesome to see you!

Let me start straight off by being annoying and asking if anyone ever says you look a little like Mia Farrow?

Anyways, I'm afraid you are just so cute - a little bit anime, a little bit prep, a little bit cowboy. And everything fits just right - shirt at right length, jeans not too big not too tight, etc. etc. etc.

Wahoo!

Sorry, Rachy...no one has ever said I look like Mia Farrow. No one has ever said I look like any famous person -- not ever -- but I do get an awful lot of, gee, you look familiar. Have we met before? (no) Do you have a sister? (no) I'm sure I know you from somewhere (you don't). Like I said, I have Everyman Face. lol
