Hair worked out pretty well (inspiration pic of my bff Sharon Stone below) - although I see the change isn't as pronounced in this picture. But - half of my hair was on the salon floor by the time we were done Tons of texturizing and thinning, lots more layers and a different shape in the back. I'm going to let the bottom pieces grow a bit - I didn't have a lot of length back there to work with so this is a start.

I am SO looking forward to giving it the gym/outdoor cardio test : that's where having longer bangs and heavier hair bugs me the most. I want to be able to have the wind blow my hair around and not look like I'm wearing a toupee.

Was wearing my new favourite thing - Banana Republic soft bf cardi , (with white Gap jeans and a white linen tank, chunky silver neck piece and grey wedges) Found it quite by accident in the Petites department, so sized up, and with their usual sales shenanigans going on, paid nearly nothing for it. Cozy, yet not hot, soft and long . I may never take it off.

Heading out to dinner tonite so will be ramping up the makeup (I think I'll do heavy smoky eyes ) sticking up the hair a bit , wearing big earrings - and channelling my inner Sharon Stone.

ETA: quick snaps of out-to-dinner look: J Crew fringed tunic, white jeans, Smythe metallic jacket, N&S earrings, Hasbeens clogs. Cranked up makeup and hair
