Had my hair cut and colored today. Thank-you Taylor for the suggestions, I also have some new items for review that I can keep or return.

It looks as if the cardigan and Macy's dress may be a bit big on you. Have you tried a smaller size?

Do you have a picture of the ATL dress without the denim jacket? I think that outfit looks like a good fit.

I really like the jacket and the ATL dress- that's a really pretty color for you.
I don't think the cardigan or the Macy's dress are super flattering on you. You look really nice with something with more structure around your shoulders and neckline.

You look beautiful! Wow your new hair is so pretty. Doesn't a new hair do lift the spirits? I love it.
I love the pink sweater and I prefer unbelted, or if you were to belt it, possibly more interest in the collar of the top that is undernieth it.
The pink ATL dress with white denim is 10!!!!! Beautiful on you.
I also love the Macy's dress, just wich the fabric had a more playful color and design. If you are planning on wearing this as a dress up dress than it fits the bill and is gorgeous. You look hot in this one!! Hot Mama!

I can see you had your hair done. It looks really nice, I would like to see you funk it up a bit, add some volume, perhaps blow dry up side down. It looks like a softer brown, very flattering color for you!!:)

I like the ATL outfit on you best!!

Debbie - I like the new hairdo and color! It looks like the color is a bit lighter and softer I like Taylor's suggestion of drying it for more volume (that's tricky, but maybe your daughter is like my daughter and there are lots of abandoned hair products around to play with!)

My fave outfit is the ATL dress (red?) (fuschia?) and the white jacket. Those colors look very good on you and so perfect for spring/summer. For cooler spring weather, can the jacket sleeves be rolled down a bit to just below the elbow?

I also like the Express cardigan (can you tell I am ready for the fun colors of spring/summer?), but can you try the next smaller size? You look pretty petite and that cardigan doesn't do you justice. But I do prefer this size belted (!) to add some figure definition. Try a white cami underneath to really add a clean spark to that beautiful pop of color

I like the denim jacket and I would also like to see the ATL dress by itself - with the jacket it looks very cute.
I agree with Queenie's point about shoulder structure. I also feel like it would be more flattering. Maybe you could try some of the ruched sleeve cardigans? I really like the color of this cardigan.
I really like the new hair, the color seems a little lighter and warmer, looks great!

I think the cardigan is a little overwhelming on you.
I love, love, love the white denim jacket and that color of dress on you! So pretty together and on you! Could you take a clearer pic of the dress without the jacket on?
Also need a clearer pic of the last dress. Hard to tell.

I really like the first cardigan belted but agree that a size down may be better.

The second outfit is fabulous.

The third dress would look better a couple of inches shorter but has real potential.

The ATL outfit is sensational. You'll get so much wear from that white denim jacket.

Love the Macys' dress too. I've seen it irl and it's very pretty, especially a few inches shorter.

The Express cardi has potential too. I like it best sans the belt and it actually looks the right size. Did you try a size down and was it too small?

The dress on the website said red but it is more fuschia. The jacket sleeves roll down past the elbows. I'm going to size down in the cardigan and I'm not sure about the dress yet.

Taylor I'm going to try drying my hair upside down to see if I get more volume and a little more funk.

I'm checking in to see if you had any luck with blowing your hair upside down. It is very hard to do. I fix my hair everyday, even if I don't go out of the house or see anyone, because it gives me a chance to play with the hairstyle. Practice makes perfect.
My hair seems very fine and too much heat can can blow the body right out of it and make it straight and fly away. Do any of you hair masters know a product to help hair like mine?
Does your hair get flyaway too Debbie? I ask because I wonder if you tried blowing it upside down with no products in it. I think you have to practice with the goopy stuff, and how much heat you put to your hair. It's frustrating, if you have hair like mine you will need to ask the stylist for advice on products and such. When you're up here I can show you some of the things my wonderful stylist has me using.
Your hair was very nice down but it will also be very cute spiked up, just a little.

I haven't had success with blow drying hair upside down, but it's been a revelation when I learned to do this: use a brush to pull the hair taut and lift it straight up away from the scalp.

For those looking for a way to blow hair dry, someone here had posted a link to a short video on blow drying that works well for me. After adding a bit of gel to the root areas, all the wet hair is brushed forward and blown that way for about a minute, concentrating on the root area. Then it's brushed all to one side and do the same thing, then to the other side. The idea is to give more volume by drying the roots first before the ends giving more lift.
Debbie, you are looking wonderful! I really like the new hair color and style and especially your ATL outfit.

San-My hair is fine. Drying upside down is going to take some practice I found out this morning. I think I need to turn the heat down on my straightener too.

My hair acts like baby hair when you put the heat to it. I have been putting mouse near the roots and working out through the hair. Let it dry for a while naturally. Go in while still damp and lift the hair to dry roots up and away from the scalp. Then I need to use the hair straightener to smooth the top layer. This is not a perfect thing for me. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and it is very frustrating for me. I try very hard to do the right thing but it's hit or miss for me.
Your hair looks wonderful just the way it is too. If you can wear it straight like that you are lucky. I have too much curl (the bad kind) to have it lay soft like yours is. Your cut and color look beautiful.
