Hello, fab friends! I just got my SUPER overdue eye appointment done today and chose my new frames. I went a little bolder this time because I am loving life these days and wanted my glasses to make a statement. The blue Auras are my favorite and will be my regular pair, and the black Impressions are my backup, which I'll use when I think they'll look better with an outfit or if I need to take outdoor photos and don't want my transition lenses to activate (saved a couple hundred bucks only getting that feature on one pair). Both of them have a thin white stripe on them, so they complement each other beautifully. They have minimal detail on the sides (the black ones have a silver square at the joint), which is my preference. The statement is their size and shape, and for the blue ones, their color. I also tried on a black and turquoise pair that I really liked, but I decided I liked the blue ones I went with MORE and it felt redundant to get two different blues.

I'll be getting these in a few weeks and I am SO excited about them. Feels like a great way to change up my style while my body is changing, and I am SUPER excited about getting to see clearly again with an updated prescription. I've also included a recent picture with my old frames for comparison (from my birthday weekend, in which I rented a cabin in the mountains and went hiking and explored a sunflower farm--it was LOVELY). They've worked for me for a good long time, but I think I prefer the shape of the new pairs.
