Hey ladies-- I thought I would post a picture of my new specs. They are much bolder than my old pair and I am not 100% sure that I love them, but my mom and the SO seem to both like them. I tried on many pairs and ended up buying my favorite-- in a lot of ways I am very lucky because there is a very "style-y" local optical shop and the owner is very very good at insisting on great fit and flattery, so at least I shouldn't have major glasses faux-pas issues like too narrow frames or the like.

I also got a new haircut about halfway through December. I let the hairstylist run with it and went from below my shoulders to an asymmetrical bob. I think it needs tweaking, and is a little grown out by now, but with the holiday crazies I haven't had a chance to take many pictures or post. It is another of the things that everyone else loves, but I am not 100% sure about.

Honestly, I think part of it is not drawing attention to myself for such a long time and now shying away from things that do! Also, the hair and glasses really clash with old clothes from my "depressing" period which I haven't completely gotten around to replacing (time! budget!).

I also got a bra fitting in November while I was in Arizona at the Intimacy in Scottsdale-- it was night and day (especially after a nightmare fitting at Nordies). I love my new bras!

Funny enough, I've completed the 3 major parts of a "style renewal" as recommended by Angie, without even thinking about it! I also have a new pair of jeans I am really happy with for work, and I couple new basic and layering tops.

It feels great to have some new clothes that look sharp (since they are in such good condition compared to what I have been wearing) and fit well, but I am really feeling the need to add style and interest and experiment with jackets, toppers, tops, shoes an accessories. I real want to take things a step further and feel like me (and special) in my clothes.
