I stopped at my optometrist today to order prescription lenses for my new sunglasses, only to discover it’s been almost four years since my last vision checkup! How did that time go so fast? So they did my checkup and determined my prescription has changed a little. Soooo...to get new prescription in my old frames, or choose some new ones. Well, I love my old glasses so the bar was very high, but I found new frames that I think I like even better! They have a slight cat eye shape, and even though it’s hard to tell in the photos, the frames are a very dark green, with blue at the bottoms and on the bridge. The sides are a brown tortoiseshell that picks up colors in my hair. The overall effect is very neutral from a distance with my coloring, but I like that they are colors that work well with my wardrobe and my eye and hair color. They are not a huge departure from what I had before, but I like the new shape.

What do you think? I’m not sure I could be swayed away from these even if someone hates them, I like them that much.

Pics 1 and 3 are the new ones. Pic 2 is my old specs for reference. I will still wear those, too. My prescription hasn’t changed so much that I can’t still use my old glasses as backups.
