Love that Everlane sweater! We’ve had a cooler week this week (down to the upper 70s) that has me thinking fall. Can’t wait to dig out the sweaters.

The temperature has dropped for a few days so I can imagine wearing fall clothing. I’m in the mood to B&M shop, and I have a few items I already know that I want to add to my wardrobe. Red long sleeve tee, warm maxi skirt(s?), maybe upgrade my sweaters I wear as shirts, coat, black flats, metallic flats, purple top to wear under long purple EF cardigan. Wow, more than I thought. Although I made it through last year without any of these.

Outside of NAS I am getting ready for an October wedding of our grandchild. Now on the shoe/accessory hunt for the NAS top pick Maggy London dress. The latter dress is a winner. Just did a clothes closet reorganization which helped me see what I have and how I might intermix items for outfits. I really don't need much else, except maybe black boots to replace a worn out pair. should have shopped for those at NAS but didn't realize how worn out my only pr is until I reorganized my closet. Word to self: clean your closet before NAS next year!

So ready! I'm also rethinking my winter clothes plan for this year.

I always pull out my winter sweaters in October, and plan to luxuriate in cashmere and chunky knits and enjoy the season.... and then sometime in November I remember that I don't actually live in a cold weather place any more, and those bulky sweaters are only going to be worn if I go on a ski vacation.

So, with regret, I think it's time to cull some of the heaviest winter sweaters, and focus more on lightweight wools that work better in my environment. On the plus side - more shopping!

Jenn, the Everlane sweater is awesome -- really substantial and comfy and oversized-in-a-good-way.

JAileen, I'm so happy with this blazer. It's cotton, but quite heavyweight, so I imagine it'll continue to be comfortable into cold weather. I know J. Crew has a wool version of this -- is that what you have?

Yes! I only shopped NAS for my daughter this year but I have done some other fall shopping for myself. Some success with BR denim this summer has lead to a denim refresh for F/W too. I’ve also added a couple of cardigans, layering tops and some loungewear.

It’s still hot here and I won’t be ready to wear any of it for another month or so.

I feel ready for colder weather, but if I see taupe jeans or wool trousers I will pounce. I was hoping to find a winter coat at NAS but nothing was appealing to me. Maybe I don’t really have a good idea of what I want. If the right one comes along i’m ready. I want more color and pattern in my winter closet, but have yet to decide what colors and what patterns. I hope to find a wonderful wildcard.

L the S, yes I have the JCrew version. I don’t normally shop there since they don’t get my body type, but one Fabber had the jacket and it looked so good with her grey. I was smitten. Of course it was out of stock and I had to stalk it.
