New fall stuff from Boden

I got my fall Boden catalog yesterday, and as usual I’m loving their stuff. I think they’re strong in cardigans and dresses particularly this season. Some of my favs:

Cardigans:
Funky cardigan, love the gray particularly
Printed cardigan
Rosette ribbon cardigan, great for a revamp if you're crafty
V-neck cardigan, adorable in the polka dots
Drapey jersey cardigan for casual days

Dresses:
Wool jersey dress, machine washable too
Holland park dress
Roma dress, Mad Men-esque but in a comfy jersey
Easy knitted dress

Great day to evening top: Ravello silk top.
Wideleg cords - these look like very wide wale corduroy, which I think is a nice textural change for fall, after all the pinwale we’ve had for so long.

They’ve also got a great collection of coats, most of which would be total overkill for me in our weather, but are nice to dream about nonetheless. And the usual cute skirts and knit tops.

I'm going to keep my eye on the cord dress for winter- it looks like it would make a great tunic layered up for cold days.

Just an FYI, if you're considering ordering the Holland Park dress. I got mine in the mail today, and was disappointed. The overall fit was good, and it was a flattering look, but the sleeves killed it. The lower part of the sleeve was sewn straight into the side seam of the dress (if you look at the close-up of the dress, you can see what I mean, I think), and because of this, I could only raise my arms about halfway to shoulder height. That was a deal breaker for me, especially at the price-point.

I'm expecting a couple of the jersey dresses in the next couple of days, though, and I have high hopes for them!

SkiDiva, thanks for the heads-up on the Holland Park dress. I often find sleeves too restrictive, so that's probably a no-go for me as well. Oh well, more to spend on something else.

I was doing a very good job of ignoring Boden's newest offerings until my catalog came in the mail. I'm eyeing the washed leather blazer and some tops. I wish they'd show the back view of the jacket.

I REALLY shouldnt have, but I bought the washed velvet coat....DH probably WILL kill me (I shouldve waited till 8/25 when I get my check) but I was afraid they'd sell out of my size and color, and if I waited till they restock (IF they do) it'll be too late for this Fall...so I did the right thing, didnt I? Didnt I? Someone please say so....
