New eye frames! Help me choose :)

These are my first new pair of frames in 6-8 years. (Yes really!)

I am excited and want to select a pair that reflects my current style. Something feminine and beautiful. I feel my face shape isn't very classic or conventional. I have large features. So trying to find the best frame to fit and flatter.

I give you 4 choices.

Photo 3 & 5 are the same frame.
Photos 4 & 6 are also same frame.

I am leaning towards 4 (blue roundy) or 5 (skinny large olive)
What do you all think?

I really like the thicker frames in #4/6, as well as the color. They just made me sit up and take notice, while the tortoiseshell/hornrims seem conventional. Not bad or unflattering, just not noticeably great (if that makes sense).

My goodness you are beautiful! I'm in agreement with you - either 4 or 5. What's throwing me off 4 is the frames are a bit skewed, otherwise I think I like them best. I should declare my bias - I have frames the same colour as 4 and find them very versatile.

Seems like the blue frame is slightly pulling ahead

My boyfriend loves the blue frames best. Theyre different from the style I originally envisioned wearing. BUT I do really like them. They're a bit quirky without being nerdy or too kooky/kitschy. They're just not "safe" and I Usually do black frames. This is a stretch for me haha!

Merwoman... New photo for you! I'm not sure that my eyes are centered in the lenses. And they are a bit askew. I'm hping that's all adjustable?? They're Warby Parker frames. I may need to go to a dr. office to shop frames.

In an ideal world, I'd go for the blue, but in the frame in 3/5. The blue is so beautiful, but I like the slightly less heavy look of the other....

1 and 3, especially 3 because 1 may too deep for you. What happens when you smile? Do your cheeks lift the frames?
The blue frames are not my favorites, the color is nice, but the frame is a little heavy and the color distracts from your very beautiful eye color.

I'm feeling the same as Lisa. The shape of 3/5 looks much more flattering to me, but I love the idea of the more unique blue color. Does the frame in 3/5 come in a colorway that has a lighter color on the inside of the posts? That would brighten them up quite a bit.

I vote 3 or 4. Love the blue, but I *see* your eyes more with frame #3.

With 3/5 or 4/6, you can't go wrong either way, both look great. 4/6 looks more fun and colorful, but 3/5 looks lighter and lets your eyes shine more.

Lisa, Isabel, Aida, and doubles, OOOH! Good points about the heaviness. Blue is a bit heavy and hides the eyes--which is what I want to avoid. I don't want a heavy frame.

I'm not sure if I like it. But it is brighter than the molasses/olive shade I ordered the sample in.

I hate to say this but I think you should keep looking. You are beautiful and these frames don't seem to do you justice. I like the shape of 6 a lot but I feel like there might even be a better shape. Most of these feel too big -- as in your eyes aren't centered within them. I want more choices. Sorry. Running away and hoping you aren't angry with me. Perhaps something with a little cat eye...

AM, don't run!! You haven't made me angry in the least! The frames do feel a bit large. I guess I feel my face and features are very large, so I end up buying larger size frames. I'm afraid of getting frames that are too small, or looking too "mature/ladies who lunch/50 year old grandma" probably sounds silly but those are my anxieties about it all. Funny you should mention cat eye. I am drawn towards a cat eye shape but I'm afraid of looking... Kitschy? Kooky vintage lady? (No offense to anyonewho loves vintage!) so I keep resisting. Perhaps it's time to give in and try the cat eye! And a smaller lighter frame.

Angie is smart. I was trying to pick from the thumbnails, but when I saw Angie picked #3, I did the full pic... and I think that's the best of the bunch. You look pretty in them. The blue is smashing, but it's also loud... not that there's anything wrong with that as they say.

Wow, you look gorgeous. I agree with AM that I don't think any of these are your frame. I prefer the shape of 3/5 on you. How do you feel about the blue-multi color option in it? It's hard to tell online, isn't it? Might be worth a try in that colorway, though I'm wondering if the colors might be too light.

I like #3 the most of these - I think it's because there is less color going on in them though - not just the shape. I'm not sure about the multi-color look as it seems to detract from your beautiful eyes - but I do like the other photo you posted of them later so, I guess I'm not great help.

I would try #3 in one of the other colour ways, and keep experimenting if you are not sure.

Rachylou, the blue is a nice bright change. But it also feels highly visible when I consider wearing them everyday.

Shevia, haha it's stained lips from all of those lipstick photos I posted!! I'm glad for your reply. You made me smile and that is just as wise and helpful as a practical solution.

Firecracker, I really think the blue multi is too light and too pastel for my tastes. I do prefer 3. But I think I may keep 3 in mind, send them all back, and look some more while I think on it. I need a new pair but it might be better to go to a large frame boutique where I can try on several and take some home. Also, a lot of online places have variois styles but hard to really know what they look like in real life until I hold them and try them on.

Texstyle, it's totes okay! I appreciate everyone's feedback and find it all helpful. If 3 came in better colors I would be happier. I don't like either color it comes in that much. But I prefer it to 4. Idk,.,I think it isn't the right frame or I would already have bought it and be wearing them!

Suz, it only comes in one other color way and its not a color combo that thrills me so... I think I'm going to keep them in mind while I look so more. The shape of 3 is light and softer on me, which is what I'm after. But it's still not quite right. Thanks for weighing in. Mwah!
