I *just* discovered the problem. So all feeds should work.

This could just be me, but when I'm reading through a topic, multiple users' "Send a message" and "View posts" links are covering their text. If I move my mouse over the links without clicking, they move back to their tidy little spot under their photo.
The changes are fabulous, and thank you again for such a great site and forum.

I changed my email preferences so that I wouldn't receive a notification when I get a new private message, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm still getting email notifications. Is this just me?

Wooohoo Greg they are both working now! You are a champ!!!!!! THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!!!! I love being able to grab a cuppa and just sit and scroll through the list of new posts in google reader. Can you tell I'm a bit OCD?

Maya, you're not alone. I just turned of notifications and promptly received a message.

Sarah, I can reproduce your issue too. Not too often, and only on Internet Explorer 7.

I'll look into both of these. Thanks for letting us know about them.

Maya, I think I've fixed the notifications and you shouldn't receive email if you have opted out. Please let me know if this isn't the case. Thanks - nice catch.

Okay that makes sense, Greg. It happens on every topic for me, multiple times. It's not a huge deal, but thought you'd like to know.
Everything else is marvelous. This really is quite the site.

When I uploaded my image last night, I started out with an image that was too large. Just wanted to give a heads up that the error message received in this case is a little cryptic and not very pretty. It might be a good idea by starting out giving the file size limit as well.

Thanks for all of your hard work on this awesome site!

Thanks Patience. That's something I just haven't gotten to yet. On my list for the weekend though!

Wow, great changes! Thanks Greg and Angie.

Hi Greg --

I have a question for you... I noticed this morning that there is now another member with the same screen name as mine. Is the screen name now able to be different from the log-in name? Or is the assumption that with the new photo capability, using the same name shouldn't be an issue? Thanks --

(The Old) April

I'm definitely enjoying the changes - great work! I just have one question - is there a way to reset one's password? I've had to ask for a password retrieval a few times, and it's because the passwords I'm being assigned are extremely complicated...lol!

Thanks

velvetychocolate, yes, you can change your password. If you go to your profile page you will see an "Account Settings" link underneath the larger version of your profile picture. Click on that link and then change your password.

I LOOOOOOOOVE the updates! Amazing job!

I was wondering though, is there any possible way to change my account name? I know that it's a pretty silly thing to ask, but you never know.

WOW! GREAT job....i like seeing avatars or faces of forum members.....just makes the experience feel a bit more personal.

Hi! My latest attempt to upload a profile pic has failed again. I've tried many sizes of pixels and KB's. Most recently I tried a 50x50 pixel, 3.71 KB JPEG picture.

I click change profile pic, browse, upload photo. It takes me to the thumbnail profile picture page. The crop tool is above and to the right of the actual picture showing on the screen, indicated by a gray area. I get some piece of the picture in view, and hit enter. The crop thumbnail and continue button does not depress.

I can not actually get the button to react to my mouse either. Even whe clicking below the visible button and gray area it's a crosshair, instead of an arrow or hand. Nothing happens, Game Over.

The forum, profile, etc. tabs all react as they are supposed to on this page. Help? Thank you!

Hi Kira,

Sorry for the delay. Can you tell me what web browser you are using?

Also, have you tried a picture that is at least 450x450 pixels?

If it is possible, can you send me some of the pictures that fail? I will send you a private message with the email address.

Thanks.

Hi Greg. Great job on the site. I've been trying to post my profile picture but I can't. I can upload but can't crop and save. Can you please help me? This is a link to the pic I was trying to post http://s760.photobucket.com/al.....anneamaka/

I'm pretty sure this is not how to send the pic. How do I send it?

Hi Greg, I just tried a 450x450 with the same results. You think it's the browser?

Nwanne, thanks for the image. I've tried it and seem to have more luck than you - it works for me on Firefox, IE7 and IE8. Could you let me know what browser you are using? That might help to narrow down the problem.

Kira, I have experimented with both the images you sent and "ylf-1" works with Firefox, IE7 and IE8. I am not using XP though. It may help if you enable "compatibility mode" in IE8. If you look at the address bar above the web page, there is a little icon to the right that looks like a broken page. Pressing this puts IE8 into compatibility mode. Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks for persevering.

Thanks Greg. I am using IE7 and XP. I tried installing IE8 this morning but it seems my system is not compatible.

Greg - thanks for the instructions on how to change my password - all fixed now.

Hi Greg!

I just noticed that some people have (website) next to their name and it's a link to their personal website. That's cool! I have a website listed on my profile, but I don't see a (website) thing next to my name. Is it invisible to me, but visible to everyone else, or does it just take a while for it to show up?

Thanks Greg! Truly appreciative of your advice on my website and expertise in running this site!

Ana, that's a bug. It should display your website. I'm on it!

Yay, thanks Greg! No hurry, enjoy your birthday (unless bug squashing is something you find relaxing).

Woohoo, it's fixed! Thanks Greg!
