Sally, maybe I really shouldn't search for certain things in thrift stores. After yesterday, I think I'm sticking with sales and online shopping.
alaskagirl, you're right about the belt. I will continue my search. I think I also will take a look online.
Ellie, I LOVE your words! I totally kniow what you're talking about. I have to really work on my impatience. And you're right, the jacket is not 100% right. So I will keep looking.
Sveta, I can't return the jacket. But that's okay, it wasn't very expensive. I have sorted through the things I tossed out and I will take a great deal with me when I go home on christmas. My mother and sister can then take a look if they want something, before I toss it. Maybe the denim jacket fits my sister!
And I'm not in the US either. I'm german, currently living in Berlin! But I'm happy you think I'm a native english speaker! So I learned something in school after all.
April, I hadn't posted a thread with my boot issues, but I wrote in some of the cleanup-threads that I'm searching. I can say I have problems with all four points you mentioned, in addition to that my toe area (no idea what's the name for this) is relatively broad. I have short legs, as I'm overall short. Hence the problem with shaft height. Often the shoes are also too narrow in front for my toes to relax. I don't buy shoes that are too tight in this area, no matter how nice they are. I've seen my grandmothers feet and she had to wear too little shoes as a child. I don't want my to toes to ever look like that! And the heel can't be too high, as I'm not accustomed to walk with higher heels and I walk a lot everyday. The price is also a problem. Most of the real leather boots around here cost 150-200 €, I can pay 100 €.
