New Booties for Skinnies

Yes, it is me again talking about the boots/booties.

I wore my jeans today to try on the booties. I ended up with these Ecco booties in grey. What do you think? They are really comfortable and well-cushioned. I also tried on a pair of the clarks artisan line of booties and they were very comfortable but I went for these because they lace up.

I was going to get them in black patent but ordered a pair of Zodiac Italia ankle boots that look similar to a doc marten but with a 2" heel.

What do you think of these with skinny jeans? Sorry, I didn't get a full shot.

Thanks Angie. I like it too but it is also practical for driving since it will protect the back of the heel.

I love these! You have a real fondness for grey (in footwear) and I like the way you work it into your outfits. These contrast very nicely with the skinnies and the shape of the shoe is nice with the skinny leg too.

I love those grey boots and they look great with the skinnies. I have a great pair of brown ankle boots from Ecco that are so comfy. I love my Zodiac Italia black patent boots! (they are a steal on Famous Footwear) So comfy and someone else on YLF has them, but my memory is spotty right now.

love the booties! great shape, and they look like the heel is actually comfortable to wear.

i liked seeing the mix of colored denim with the gray boot, instead of the safe black

Jjsloane, yes I had seen the Italia on amazon for $150 and was seriously thinking about ordering them because I love Shannon's docs but have large feet and thought the docs would be too heavy. The Italia looks a bit more streamlined so I thought it could work. Then I saw them on famous footwear and no further thought was needed. I read at least 20 reviews and all were 4 or 5 stars but I am relieved to hear from someone I "know".

Ceit, yes, they are the Ecco sculptured 65. They carry them at the Bay and Quarks.

I wear a 10 so my feet are going to look big no matter what. I have Doc Danielle (simlar to the animal print ones Shannon has) and they do not make my feet any daintier, but the Zodiacs are less clunky and more streamlined. (also lighter weight than expected)

Love the Ecco booties that is one of my favorite brands. What brand skinnies did you buy? I am looking for a pair of red jeans.

Siniestra, it is probably an age thing. I am almost 50 and prefer the slightly looser fitting leg so this was a deliberate choice.

Renee, the jeans are the Kut from the Kloth Diana. quite a few YLFers had success with them so I thought I'd give them a try. They also come in a really deep red.
