New Balance is making shoes. Anyone tried ?

I stumbled upon this while looking for a comfy shoe for spring. I had never heard of this brand so I "google" them. It is New Balance. I really, really hope that they are as comfy as sneakers.

Anyone got the lo-down on comfort ? ( I am trying to act cool....thus the "lo-down". LOL )

Is this the Aravon shoes? My podiatrist recommended them several years ago, but I couldn't find any to try on.

I have a pair of Aravons--I think the style is Jodi. They are some of the most comfy shoes I have owned. Aravons still have that "comfort shoe" look, but the ones I have are not as chunky as a lot of other comfort shoes I've seen. I highly recommend them if your main concern is comfort and not fashion. In fact, when I go out for my daily walk, those are the shoes I wear rather than sneakers.

I'm actually coming around to sneakers again. It took a pair of calf hair camo sneakers from Zara (on sale!) to get me back, but I think I'm in again. What do we think of these?

The footbed and heel of the maryjanes, etc, remind me of one of NAOT's standard sandal footbeds which I find very comfy and sturdy/safe for my feet and wobbly ankle issues. If you are looking for a walking heel check out NAOT as well.
Edit: it's the ''avant garde" collection from NAOT. Lest anyone think I was talking about the Birks styles!

I like NB shoes in general.

Denise, I have a pair of the minimus series sneakers and they are very flat (mine are a few years back the 4 mm drop, which is what these are listed at) and VERY flexible and VERY wide in the toe box. I know at one time you said your prefered heel is like a woorkboot, about 1.25 - 1.5 inches. I think you will find the minimus series NOTHING like that. Maybe the more traditional series of NB would work for you? Sorry, I like the looks of these but I wanted to caution you about the footbed being very "barefoot like"

For walking shoes, I think NB is the best. Not sure about other styles.
