Probably won't keep the dress. Hubs hates it, and I'm not sure it's doing anything for me, either. It feels really big, and the neckline is pretty low. Or maybe I'm just too disappointed in AS and the missing belt to like it much. The kicker is that they're only offering exchanges/gift cards on purchases made through the 8th, which includes me. -_-

The boots were final sale, and I like them a lot (very similar to my UWP boots, but obviously a different color, and they don't have the wired spats for convertible styling. Pic #1 to show the ankle gap/width. Do these qualify as booties?

Love the boots! I like the dress too but it is pretty out there even for a UWP!

That exchange thing had better not be true for my order, because I got a bunch of sizes to try and do not intend to order anything more right now or exchange anything. I feel an apoplexy coming on...

I really like the dress but I can see how it might dip a little low for comfort. And the missing belt is just a fat bummer. I think if you call with complaints that it is a defective item, perhaps a refund would be considered.
The boots are great! They remind me of the Bronx ankle boots I was trying on for size earlier this summer to 'rough' up some of my sweet dresses.

Great boots - fun color, I have no problem with that gap. I bet they do qualify as booties. These aren't your UWP backup pair, are they?

I'm meh on the dress. I can't tell if it should be a dress, a tunic, or a billowy long top.

Sorry to hear about the frustrating order! But WOW! The print and drape of that dress is dreamily cool! Too bad hubs isn't crazy about it. It actually looks good with the black belt instead of what I imagine the self-belt looked like. Eeee - I might be nuts, but I love it!

I actually really like the dress, but it does look rather roomy and resembles kind of cave-girl-punk-style :p

The boots are super Rae - love the shape, height and the colour - and girl, you have got GREAT legs (if you don't mind me saying so)! As for the dress, it's so cooooolllll and am wondering like Rita if it would work over leggings as a tunic instead? it does look a little overly roomy though.

Oh no, Una! I sure hope that doesn't happen to you - they sure as heck did not advertise the amended return policy anywhere on the site. I only saw it because I went to the returns section to message them about the missing belt.

Rita, Shannon, & Sarah, I bet the dress would look cute over leggings, but that would defeat the purpose (I wanted a work dress) and also break my SYC rules.

Mo, I am hoping that the missing belt will lock in a refund - their error, right?

MNsara, no, these are different boots. The backups are the exact same boots, being saved in the box for whenever the current pair falls apart.

The boots, of course, are awesome. I actually dig the dress too. I'd raise a fuss about the belt. AS better make that right!

I love the dress shape more than the stallion print thing, but it's such a weird crazy dress and I alternate loving it and not knowing what to think, except that no matter what, rae looks hot in it. I actually really like the dress, but I see your hesitation. I'm not sure it fits with what I've seen of your style. It's not quite UWP -- it's something else, but I can't put a name to it at the moment. Of course, you have to be comfortable in it and love it!

I like both items, but obviously if you don't like the dress, you shouldn't keep it. For future AS reference, what size did you buy, and do you think a size down would have worked?

Rae, I love that dress on you! I don't think it's a work dress, but it's stunning! (Of course, if it's not a work dress and your husband hates it, not sure when you'd wear it.)

Stephanie, I think a size down might have fit better BUT, if this is for general AS reference, I have 4 other AS items already UK 8 for the jackets, UK 10 for the shirts. o_0

Fantastic boots, a big score there. I rather like the dress alot, the irregular hem is cool and I like the pattern and drape of the neckline, but if hubby hates it, hmmm?

Angie, do you think the dress is work appropriate? Hubs thinks it is too short. I think it's too short, lowcut, and unstructured - any of which I could mitigate separately, but I thought it added up to a weekend-only look. Am I wrong?

I think it's too short for work, Rae. But leggings would solve that problem. In fact, I LOVE that idea!

Skinny jeans for casual.

I leave the low cut part to your discretion. It looks 100% appropriate in the photos, but you could feel exposed when you move around. Slipping and sliding. You know what I mean.

Unfortunately, leggings are against the dress code for work. I do need it to be work appropriate, too. I don't need any more casual dresses, and it is part of my SYC goals. :T
