New Ann Taylor pants - should I keep?

Happy New Year everyone. I've been busy with home and work stuff so haven't really had a chance to take outfit photos.

During my Philadelphia NYE trip I bought these Ann Taylor ankle length "pencil" (my definition) pants that fit wonderfully. The thing is that the pants are ankle length, so do these pants look all right showing a bit of ankle? Keep or return? Sorry about the bag IPhone photos.

Those fit you so well and the colour is divine - as for the ankle length issue, I will leave that to the experts.

Boy do I love the color and the tapered leg...This spring they would look fab with a strappy heeled sandal...Keep:)

I like them, but I like slim ankle pants with heels, so I'm probably a little bit biased. The color is fabulous!

Waves from Philly!! The pants fit you perfectly and the color is amazing but the length gives me pause. They are not long enough to be full length but not cropped enough to be cropped. I would have to cuff them a couple of times to get it to work for me.

I like how they look in picture 2, but that might just be the way you are standing? I like the rolling the cuff idea but i am not an ankle pant length expert so maybe it's my eye that's off! Great color though!

They are fabulous...great color and fit. And I agree that they look best with an unbroken line. Nice find!

I think I would like these better with some skin showing...maybe a ballet flat or a pump. The color is beautiful and they fit you well.

Thank you all for your inputs. I'm going to have to play around with the pants a bit and try them on with heels or flats.

Angie / or anyone else - can petites wear ankle length pants or cropped pants? I feel like cropped pants are too short.

I am very petite and have a youthful look. I have to be extra careful about anything that could be shortening ... I could easily be mistaken for a college freshman even though I am pushing 40. When I wear cropped pants they have to be very tapered and fitted, and I have to do them with very high nude heels or wedges.

Modgrl - I'll need to find some nude heels or wedges for the cold weather. I don't think I own a pair except my summer platforms.

Great color in these pants. I like the fit of #2 because the booties extend the legline by not showing skin.

Citygrl, with all my heart I believe that a longer length skinny pant is more flattering on your leg line.

How much hem is there to let down on these? Maybe that is a solution? Because otherwise, they are wonderful!

I love the color, but the short length gives me pause. Pants are so hard to get just right!
