New and silver and gold jewelry

Hi! I have been reading posts for a while but this is my first post . Is it strange to feel nervous?
I was just at Target and saw some necklaces in silver and gold combined. Love the idea but it was a little shiny for my tastes. Has anyone seen jewelry in mixed metals? Any suggestions ? Thanks!

Hi! Welcome to the forum!
I had a watch in both silver and gold for a long time and loved it to pieces. I personally think mixed metals can be a great addition to an outfit, but it's not to everyone's tastes. If you found the necklaces too shiny, maybe matte metals are more your thing?

I like to mix metals - My watch is mixed metals, and it goes with everything.

I do think that Angie is generally against mixed metals though (am I right?), so definitely take others words over mine! I'm new here too, and have tons and tons to learn.

I think it is a preference. I have read not to be afraid to mix metals and textures in accessories but I can't get my self to do it.

Welcome! I personally do like mixing metals. For me to feel like it works on me I always need to feel it is deliberate. For example, I won't wear a silver necklace, earrings, bag hardware and shoe hardware with a random gold bracelet. Instead I like to mix it in more together like two tone earrings, silver necklace, then two bracelets of the mix. I hope that makes sense.
