Packing light is a challenge for me. Want to help?
I will be going to visit my sister in NJ and together we will spend 4 days in NYC. While there we will be shopping (of course!), walking.....lots of walking, dining and attending 2 Broadway shows. The total time I will be away is 6 days. Comfort with minimum wrinkles is my goal. DTwin assures me that casual, even in the theater, is the norm.
Jeans: denim cropped (with a darker stripe down the side), black skinnies and gray boyfriend jeans.
Sweaters: Ivory and camel, both 3/4 sleeved
Tops: white with black stripe, leopard, yellow floral pull over blouse
Toppers: ivory sweater coat, rhubarb field jacket
Shoes: black mesh sneakers, gray Birdseye print Rothys, leopard Rothys
Scarves: leopard and blue with silvery gray
What do you think? Do I have enough? Do I have too much? In the photo, things look kind of bland. I am hoping that the leopard, rhubarb and ivory will add interest.
Things to consider: I am taking just a carry on bag. I will also have a collapsible tote for the return trip. If I make purchases that I am unable to pack, I will have those shipped home.
DTwin sister has ample clothing and accessories I can borrow, so I will likely take a couple of her scarves. We do plan to travel light, as we will be taking a train into the city. We will share toppers and scarves. The forecast calls for temps between high 40s and mid 60s and showers.
Oh, and for fun, here are recent pics of my transition to gray. I can’t wait to see DTwin to see how her transition is coming along. Will we look alike? Different? I know we will both be smiling!
FYI on my “Do not let me go near” list this year is any shade of brown handbag or any fall winter toppers.
Thank you for taking a peek and offering any suggestions.
