What a beautiful dress, I really like the pattern, it's simple but interesting and the fit is so flattering on you. I love the darker pin with it too! Just an extra dash of contrast! I just wish I could see your shoes, I bet they are killer too!
I'm so proud of you wearing prints two days in a row, Taylor! You look beautiful as always. The pattern is bold but it does not overpower you at all because it's sleeveless and short. You are the epitome of strong clean style, my dear. A style very close to my heart. KILLER!
High five, high-necked sheath dress gal :0)
Like I said before, the over 50 year olds on this forum are phenomenal in many, many ways. We can all learn from them.
I do not think that print overwhelms you- you have the look to pull it off. I think it is because of your coloring and dramatic hairstyle. A jacket would also work- beautiful!
Wow again! I like that you are stepping out of your comfort zone for prints with such style! I agree with Jean that this print does not overpower you at all.
Now will we get to see #3?
I had the same thought as Carole ~ wish I could see your shoes b/c I adore seeing all the details of your outfits! The pattern looks great on you, not too much at all ~ the shape and style of the dress see to that. It's a winner on you!
I don't think that it's too much print or that it needs to be toned down. What a beautiful dress, and I love the way that you styled it with the pin and gorgeous shoes. Sigh... I wish I could wear shoes like that, but I'll just have to enjoy them vicariously through you. Lovely as always, Taylor!
Taylor-I don't know why you think these past two dresses are too much print. You have the art of selecting flattering prints in both sizing and colors mastered. I like this dress exactly as is. The classic shape keeps the print from being over the top and overwhelming you. You should wear more prints, you pull them off very well! And I can't resist echoing words I've seen others utter in the past, can I be you when I grow up? Pretty please? I LOVE your style!
Taylor, you look sensational as always, and I love that you're challenging yourself to wear prints this week! I know what you mean about your discomfort though. I will usually only wear prints in small doses, like on a belt or scarf. Whenever I wear stripes, I always worry, "Am I tiring out people's eyes?"
But rest assured, you look amazing in that dress, and I don't think anyone's eyes could ever tire of seeing you in it!
Ha ha, I thought you were kidding when you said something about wearing leopard print tomorrow. The print looks very natural on you--no need to tone it down. Gorgeous!
I really need to take a class with you on how to tailor clothes. The fit is so immaculate.I have been pulling out my skirts and pondering how I would take in the waist. Then maybe you could teach me how to do my hair because I still haven't figured it out
Oh, also I like your bracelet with the bubbly beads. I am always attracted to them in stores and ponder if they would look right on a small boned person, but apparently they do!
I'm here to echo the idea that this print does not overwhelm you in any way. It looks wonderful -- and would also stand up to an outer layer if you needed one for AC, but doesn't require one to tone it down.
Thank You ladies, I truly appreciate all your encouragement and kind comments.
I am still not crazy about prints, but maybe I will feel less self conscious when I wear them, thanks to all of you!!! XO
I feel like I'm trying new things (just trying to have a style is new) everyday. It is a little scary at times. Seeing you take risks encourages me to keep trying things. Thanks for the boost!
The print size is just right for you! You look GORGEOUS! How do you manage to hit it out of the ballpark each and every time?! (Sorry for the baseball analogy, we've been attending too many games lately!) : ) Well, I suppose it starts with that enviable figure of yours. I want to be you when I grow up!
