OK, I need help finding neutral/skin toned booties. Here is what I found so far. All comments more than welcome.

What are you aiming for? What do you want to wear them with? In what season?

Basically, we don't have enough information to make intelligent comments. As far as dumb comments go, I found the Lupino booties the most intriguing. But I am a sucker for botanical motifs.

JR, thank you for your reply. I want to be able to wear them now and in the spring. With skirts and dresses. (I think). With that thought in mind, probably more dressy.

You seem to be liking the unique styles in 1-3. They all seem really interesting and I like the small heeled one best (3rd), but if you don't do heels the others are great. The last 2 are completely different, I personally love the Bass, but that's more my style and not like the others. Make sense?

To me, some might depend on climate. Where I live, the cut-out ones would be impractical for late fall and winter and early spring. I suspect they would look better with bare skin underneath vs. tights and tights are a necessity; even with tights they wouldn't be warm enough. But if that is not an issue for you, then it sounds as if you are leaning in that direction.

#2 would probably be the most practical, in that they could be worn in somewhat colder weather and still respect your style. You don't seem too happy about 4 and 5, which also would score higher on the practical level. (Not too sure about your climate - my frame of reference might be quite different than yours.) They could also be worn nicely with pants, although you would lose the leg-lengthening effect which I suspect is what you are really after here.

If you want to extend them into the warmer weather more, then 1 or 3 would be a better bet, although I think 1 would perhaps seem a little more summer-friendly than 3. Just in terms of looking at them with pleasure, 3 still gets my vote. Very unique, without being hopelessly weird.

Personally, the one I like the most is #3. The design is really interesting and the little heel looks more dressy to me. I think it's the same heel height as the black Everybody boots I just bought, and they are very comfy.

That said, I always look at booties like that with the cutouts and never pull the trigger, the reason being that the cute cutouts make it impossible to wear socks of any kind (except tights) inside the boots. Now maybe your feet are not as fussy as mine but for me no socks = rubbing and blistering all over my toes, plus the potential for the shoes to stick to the bottoms of my feet and cause blisters there too. Plus you would not be able to wear them in colder weather because your feet would be too cold.

Soooo, with that caveat in mind (plus you said the heels might be too high for you) I vote for #2. Still interesting and much more practical.
