My husband is sooo not into fashion. However....he is going to start meeting with some clients in banks, and he said he wants business casual. This is great b/c all I ever see him wear, even to church, are khakis and polo shirts (over a white T-shirt with two buttons unbuttoned!!!!!!)
He saw a guy on a plane with a blazer, khakis and pull-over, that he liked. I've always liked that look, but after reading different posts, I guess I shouldn't even look at that, but instead look for D2 Dockers and Kirkland, Nordies, and LandsEnd shirts. (We both hate ironing.) I also need to convince him of going to a salon for a haircut, and getting better shoes. So, right now, I'm guessing the look we'll end up with is a LS shirt with rolled up sleeves.
So, my questions;
1 - What deems a NICE belt?
2 - He hates boat shoes and loafers and will not spend more than $100 on shoes. Any thoughts? (Narrow foot.)
3 - He is 5' 7", 186 lbs, has broad shoulders and long legs. However, he does have a double chin, man boobs, and his weight is in his belly. This is why he hates button down shirts and ties. (He didn't tuck in his shirts until two years ago.) What brand shirt is going to is the best camoflage the weaknesses and accentuate the positives? Pinstripes, solids, checked? I don't know!
4-What other brand pants would work for his body size? (He is wearing a 34x30, but his waist is measuring 38?)
5- What are the rules for men's glasses? What is not super trendy, but a nice look for fair Irish skin. (He's a winter, I'm thinking.)
I'm excited that he is starting to want to look nice, and I want to wow him with possibilites, so that he'll never go back to polos and khakis 6 days out of the week!
Thanks, ladies!
