So, I should preface this by saying I live in rural Virginia. We have wild animals, but not this. DH and I were messing around in the yard and I went to clean up what I thought was a large piece of bark fallen from a tree. As I got closer- dear god, the bark had a head- and teeth! After my heart started beating again I tryed to process...and still can't really. All I can assume is some neighbor had this and some other animal dragged it to us. I know this thing is D-E-A dead, but it still is very unnerving to see up close. In my yard.

As we have no idea what to do with it, but are very into repurposing, we decided to place it by our garden in hopes of giving the groundhogs a heart attack instead.

Not every day I see an alligator in the back yard, so just thought I'd share!
