Need Nordstrom shopping input quick!

I got an offer for $50 toward a purchase, plus 10 points per dollar for a personal shopping day at Nordstrom. But the only time I can fit into my schedule is this afternoon! I have a couple of things on my wishlist but is there anything spectacular there that you would recommend I check out? Amazingly, I can't think of any real wardrobe holes - I'm drawing a complete complete blank. I would like to get some new gear winter boots, and have my eye on the Sorel Joan of Arctic style. Other than that, HELP!

A Smythe jacket would be nice but is kind of out of the question budget -wise.

I've actually picked up a few of those at *mild cringe* Sears! Seeing how they work and how often they come out to play before spending more. But I will look, just in case!

Go to Savvy, meet with a SA and she will help you find something stunning, I'm sure! Fail that, jeans, coats, bras are low CPW items!

their cashmere sweaters in TBD are soo soft and cozy and reasonably priced at around $79. they had tons of great colors! how fun for you - enjoy!

I second the rec for Only Mine V neck cashmere sweaters. So soft and cozy and bright colors (I have orange and teal).

Also I bought an Estee Lauder makeup gift set for my mom ($57 for a ton of stuff) and one for myself, and a Shiseido skin care gift set for MIL.

MamaKate, presents for husband are on the list. I've gone and ordered those bendy necklaces for all the women in my life already. I have an appointment with the salesgal who helped me at NAS - she was a younger African-American gal who really got my style and coloring issues, and we got along really well. Yay!

Great ideas coming in, Una. The basics always are good (thinking this, because I need new Wacoal bras right now). Your first idea on the boots may be a good one. As for a trench coat, I just got a DKNY, but it was from Macy's (wrong store!). Lucky you to find a good SA who gets your colors and style. Have fun.

There is a new brand of rubber boots; they are scandanavian and lace up the front. They have a fleece lining.

You should check them out! Not a Sorel replacement, for certain, but some sturdy, stylish rain boots never hurt anyone. (-:

As for not being able to come up with wardrobe holes...congratulations! That means you have such a fab wardrobe that it is essentially complete! I know what you mean though...I went to their holiday party yesterday because I wanted to get the 10 points, and browsed around for a while, trying on various things, but I ended up not getting any clothes for myself, just some cosmetic gift sets for mom and MIL. Well, except a turquoise skinny belt on sale for $13. But it was a totally weird feeling to not see anything I "needed". I guess my wardrobe is getting pretty complete too. Isn't that such a good feeling?

And then I ordered a couple of boring things off the website (tights, bra), and a pair of Sorels to try. Other than that, I couldn't find much that appealed. That's a good thing, right? The UWP sweater is still there in grey on our sale rack...
