Okay, I am biting the bullet and putting in an order! Need some advice on sizing and colors and availability of some things...

Here's what's in my basket right now:

Am I missing something obvious? I am reluctant to hop on the Kut from Koth skinny bandwagon, primarily because I am so sick of denim...are there skirts/dresses that would flatter me? Other ponte pants?

Queenie - did you order that dress? Is it as lowcut as it looks? Angie mentions wearing it over leggings...is the waist seam visible through the knit dress? Those are my concern - otherwise, it looks like an awesomely easy dress to wear...would you recommend the charcoal heather or the black?

I have got the cardigan in purple - LOVE it. I do not remember if I got L or M though - I can check when I get home. I have wide shoulders too.

I love all the items you picked MPJ! That leather jacket is just so stunning, isn't it.
If you're not entirely sure of your size in the leggings, I would try both a medium and a small, yes. I don't know how opaque these are, but the larger size usually guarantees less "see-through", and I like my leggings to be very dark;-)

Duplicating the cardigan: love the purple! I think the blue might be lovely paired with white and black jeans, grey bottoms etc.

Hopefully the boyshorts will become available again in more colours soon!

(I'm going to have a look at the dresses and skirts again, be back in a sec;-)

Chewy, your link didn't work for me...I checked Angie's list - is it the Halogen knitted ponte skirt? I'm torn on that - it's only available in black now...might have liked a different color.

Yes- it is. Not to be an enabler, but if it comes back in the olive color later you can always exchange it for free (hint hint, nudge nudge)

Yes, this is the skirt, I got it in grey and love it too. Size down on it, it runs big.
Cardigan in blue is very nice too. it is not navy but more like darker cobalt blue. I would not keep two different colors in the same style but it is just my preference.

Don't know if you're up for a bold colour, but I love this pencil skirt;-)

I had a look at my Bobeau Tiered Flyaway Cardi: I got size M. Usually I am M or L depending on the shoulder fit - my shoulders are wide.

Great selections I say. I love the Marine color in that cardie also? And great idea to stock up on the boyshorts. I'm off to add some to my cart! That leather jacket looks divine. Can't wait to see your pics!

Um, okay, now I'm thinking of ditching the whole list and JUST ordering the leather jacket! Sort of a "I shopped the NAS and all I got was this fabulous leather jacket" thing.

The sale just seems so good.

Here's the thing - would I look good in a "tobacco" colored leather jacket or would my hair blend in too much? I think there would be sufficient contrast, but I'm no "greenglove" redhead (I wish!!!)

@Angie - Ordering underwear in both a style and brand unknown to me struck me as folly - particularly if the sizing is inconsistent...I could see endless returns and re-orders. This is something worth trying to get to my Nordstrom's for before the sale ends. (And if they don't work out, my cash will not be tied up waiting for returns to be processed.)

As for the ponte leggings...I'm torn - I don't own any tunics or tall boots and only one pair of ballet flats...I'd basically be ordering a closet orphan. If I take the plunge into skinny anythings, I want to do my best to buy a complete outfit at the same time.

So that's my reasoning. It's also highly likely that this order will go on my bank card and not a cc, which means my funds will be tied up until I sort through the order and return or not return.

@ Wilson - yes, so glad I saw it in San's thread! The other thing about this jacket is that it does not seem to be available in my local Nordstrom's - if I want it I HAVE to order it. I'm only concerned about the arms - they look awfully skinny!

I FINALLY put my order in yesterday:

QUESTIONS (yes, more!)
* Should I order the KC leggings in heathered gray, too?
* How does the Halogen jacket fit - should I get the medium now or wait to see and exchange the small after the sale if need be?

Oh, you didn't order the moto? I was hoping you did so I could wear it vicariously through you! It's so gorgeous.

I passed on the KC leggings in charcoal because I prefer a more solid, non-heathered grey (heathered grey is too strongly associated with sweatpants in my head, but that's probably just my personal quirk) but if you like the heathered look I'd grab them in charcoal as well as black.

Brianna - I had the same reservations about the "heathered" aspect as you. I feel like leggings are casual enough - if I wear gray, I'd rather it be an edgy graphite or the like...

Never say never on the moto - there's still a few days left! I need to ask about the fit before I order...
