Need help with tights color!

I thrifted this lovely j crew skirt without having a matching top. Sin of sins! It's more of a mustard color than it looks here. I was able to put together this outfit, but I am at a loss for what to wear on my legs. It's too cold to go bare-legged, not to mention my giant scab... Suggestions desperately needed (and does this outfit even work?!)...

ETA compromise with sheer mustard hose...

Gorgeous skirt! I love the rasberry color and the mustard together. Do you maybe have brown tights or nude fishnets? That's the only thing I can think of.

Cute! I'm in the nude camp, too. Oroblu makes great nude fishnets. I also bought a couple pairs of all-nude patterned hose at Nordies.

Rae, here they are (you can still see my leg gouge!)... Not the greatest look, but the option was to change out completely, and I am NOT up to that effort. I can't wait to wear this skirt without tights! It is a nice heavy linen and has pockets.

I think you should try this with your (wait, did you find this yet?) denim shirt (tucked), cognac belt and those fab boots. =)

With this cardi, I think you should slap a cognac belt on over it.

Great colors Una, and the skirt is a fun find! My first thought was semi-sheer tights in a similar color to the cardi (esp. burgundy), is that bad? I like the nude fishnets idea too though

Yes - definitely nude microfishnets! I have several of the Oroblu Tricot micronets and wear them at least weekly. I haven't tried Angie's suggestion to layer them over cheap nude hose, though, but should keep that on the back burner for next fall/winter.

They are hard to find, but if you can find a burgundy pair of patterned or solid tights similar to the color of your boots, or even something like this, that could also be very cute.

Una - I know I'm being obnoxious, but whenever I see these 2 colors together, I think of my favorite B-Ball team - the LAKERS! So, I'm probably not very good at giving you advice - however, I like the idea of what has already been mentioned by others - the nude fishnets. That way when you do your cheer "Go Lakers, beat the Spurs" the nude fishnets will not distract from the fact that you are proudly wearing your(my) team colors! Rah-Rah Una!

I vote nude too. Would this skirt look good with black tights shoes, and black turtleneck tucked in? I can't see its shape so maybe that wouldn't work, but just a thought. Then the skirt would really pop!
