Need help with job interview outfit ETA Update at the end

It’s been ages since I posted, but I need your collective wisdom with this one. I hope you‘re all doing well!

The pants and blazer of this suit are slightly too big on me, but I hope they’re going to work well enough. The pants are too long on me right now, even for a full length. I do think they were supposed to be cropped on a tall person. I’m pretty set on the shoes because I like the color together with the suit and I’ve only worn them once to a wedding, so they look like new. The blue patterned blouse is oversized with full sleeves, very thin cotton and looks dressy enough for the rest of the outfit, I think (it’s not ironed right now). If I wear it untucked I could take the blazer off. It looks cleaner when it’s tucked in, but then I would need to keep the blazer on because the pants are elasticated and I don’t like the way they look when it’s visible. Or I could also wear the sleeveless blouse in the last pic, which has the matching colors, but then I would probably be either too cold or sweating inside my blazer…

I don’t want to do any shopping for this, so I need to decide on one of the options shown here. And I need to drop those pants off for hemming on Monday to get it done in time.

Sorry for cropping my head off, but I’m not looking my best right now.

#1/2 Blue blouse with blazer
I pinned my left leg first, then thought it should be even shorter and pinned the right one higher. Thoughts? Should I go even shorter? How long is this supposed to be so that it looks intentional?

#3 Blouse without blazer
It’s pretty oversized, but I think it looks alright.

#4 Blouse tucked in
Longer leg line, but I don’t feel super comfortable like this.

#5 Sleeveless blouse
Colors are perfect, but it’s a summer top and we have April. I would need to keep the blazer on and hope I don’t feel too cold or don’t sweat too much.

I would be grateful for any input. Thanks!

I also own the matching pants in #6 to the blouse in #5, but that's a quite a look...

I like the last blouse more, cause it harmonizes with the shoes. If anything, I'd prefer the pants just a bit longer than the original if possible.

The blouse is the last pic is very pretty - looks great untucked. Not sure about pants length - maybe because your pretty shoes pull more attention than suit itself in some way?.. Would be interesting to see the full length pants look with your shoes.
The jacket is fine ( is cuffing sleeves out of question - too casual? ).

Yes, agree on the colors harmonizing. I could do the pants longer, they are pinned up quite a bit. But then they would definitely touch the shoes when I stand straight, so not a cropped look.

The shoes aren't as visible IRL, I promise. They are actually the most subtle pair of the options I have... I could take a picture of the pants at full length tomorrow morning. Cuffing doesn't work with the jacket.

I like both tops best untucked. I kind of like the blue on a little better, but I am a blue girl.

What a FAB TRENDY SUIT! Gorgeous on you! LOVE!

I vote the LONGER of the PINNED lengths - so YOUR left leg in #1. It's the right leg for me when I look at the pics on my screen. Better length for boots when you wear them at some point too. KILLER with those super fun shoes

I like both blouses! Both work well with the shoes. Go with the one that is more comfy under the jacket. Wearing it out is fine!

Lovely to see you, Astrid. I prefer the second blouse and the shorter of the two pants lengths, and love the shoes. It's a handsome outfit, with two pretty blouse choices, so whatever you choose, you'll look smashing for your job interview. Good luck!

My eyes are kind of grey/blue/green, a kind of muddy mix (ash blonde hair). Depending on what color I wear they can look more blue or more green.

Thanks, Angie! The longer length definitely works as well, I think when I look in the mirror the difference isn’t as big as it looks in the pictures. Good point about the boots, it would be good to still have that option. And I’ll definitely wear my blouse untucked then, I’m just more comfortable that way…

Thanks kkards! Interesting that you’re preferring the shorter length. I’ll have another try on tomorrow and maybe also give it a try with some other shoes, just to see what that would look like lengthwise.

Thanks Kate! Maybe I should go for a length right between the ones I tried in the pictures. But good to know I‘m good either way with both blouses. I’m definitely feeling comfortable in both when it comes to looks, my decision is probably going to be down to the weather I think. Right now it says warm and sunny, but that can still change.

Ha, its been 80 degrees here this week, but is supposed to snow tomorrow, so I sympathize with your weather guessing game. I like the neckline of the second blouse with the jacket a little better, but as Angie says, wear what is comfortable.

Do you like the jacket buttoned up? You can always unbutton it when you sit down, but I like the first impression that a fitted suit makes. (This is only my opinion, obvs.)

The colors are very sophisticated. Springy but not pastel. GOOD LUCK!

Prefer the longer length on the pants and agree that while the sleeveless blouse is more harmonious color wise, the long sleeve is the better choice for this occasion

Nice to see you Astrid! Bit late re the lengths- I like the suit and think it’s a good choice. Either blouse is fine- the second is my first choice if the weather obliges.

I am totally with Suntiger. I prefer the longer length and would in fact like them a smidge longer again, to sit on the vamp of the shoe.
I also prefer the second top colours as harmonising more, if the weather co-operates. Good luck!

Thanks everyone! I think I’m going to go with the longer length from the first pictures I posted, I also tried a few other shoes with it and it feels like a versatile length. For those who wanted to see the pants even longer, I’ve posted a pic below with one side skimming the shoes. I do think I prefer them shorter.

I’ll see if I can manage to take a picture on the day to show you what I ended up wearing!

The new full length seems a good length, the longer length on #1. I like the blouse you have on in #5 the others look too big. I like them worn untucked best. Have you tried a half tuck? The suit looks pale green on my monitor. It seems a good color for spring.

Suit looks versatile - for this interview and afterwards. Love the matched set, but totally understand why you wouldn’t wear it to the interview. I’m curious about how it looks under the jacket, though - and it is so harmonious with those beautiful shoes.

Hej Astrid!! Great suit! I trust Angie on the hem length and prefer the pink blouse. It looks more formal and polished untucked, so I think it’s better for the interview. You can take off the jacket and be comfortable about the waistband.

Here's what I wore this morning - I went with the blue blouse and had to wear my wool coat over that because it was really cold today (only 8°C). I felt comfortable like this, I think it was a good choice. I'm happy with the length of the pants, I think they turned out well.

The interview went alright, I think I gave my best but my success probably depends on whether there were other applicants who already have experience in management (I don't). I have a good job already, so if it doesn't work out it's not the end of the world...
