need help with corporate attire..

I need to look professional or formal. Will these outfits work? I think the first blazer is too long since it reaches the crotch area. I've seen photos with blazers of this length but Im still not sure if this looks good on me. I feel a little awkward wearing it because of its length and its straight cut. But I still want to wear it because i love its pockets. The second blazer has a thin material and fitted and shorter cut. For the shirt, do I need to wear a necktie or ribbon or does it look ok as is? My other concern is the color combination. The blazers are black and the trouser is maroon and in a straight cut. I dont have a footwear for this yet. Feel free to suggest. Thank you very much.

I think this is good. The first blazer seems more proper to me. What is your work? Are you in the US? You don’t need anything like a necktie here in the US, but another country... yes, maybe that would be best.

Full disclosure.... I do not wear professional attire for work. I wear mostly dressy casual attire. I like all of your jackets. You seem partial to #1. Can you wear a maroon top with the maroon pants? It would create a color block look with the black jacket. I would keep the jacket open for this look. Also,I like your white shirt. Maybe consider opening the neckline a little. Do you have pearls....white or black or maybe a scarf? I would not go out and buy anything. Look in your closet...you just might have a "forgotten' item you can use with your ensemble. Shoes?... possibly low heeled pumps. I am not comfortable with professional attire. I really like pops of color(lip, shoes, scarf etc)...and sometimes the type of work you do dictates what you can or can't wear. You are taking the time and effort in preparing for your event. I know what you pick will be fine. Good luck.

I used to be an attorney in London and my absolute go to was formal dresses (usually dark colors, fitted) and a little jacket or even formal cardigan. Especially if the dress had some lycra or elastane, it was super comfortable and always looked smart even, even for court (not the cardigan on those days obviously).

I love the second blazer, but I do agree that the first one is more conservative so it may be better suited to your needs. Perhaps a dark pump with a block heel for shoes.

I like the length of the first blazer more with the pants-though the second would work well with skirts and dresses. For the days that I want to be more formal, I stick to sheath dresses instead of separates.

If you need to look more formal, go with the longer blazer. Shorter one will read more casual, esp with maroon pants.

For this look, to keep it more conservative, I'd choose a pair of classic heels in a color to match the blazer.
